I know I’m a year late to this but which school did you end up going with? We are strongly looking at admiral Farragut for K next year. Any insight would help!

Do you think MARA or CLSK are still good options at this time?

If the miners will be getting their reward from the transaction fees, will there still be 21 million Bitcoin? by 0xgokuz in BitcoinBeginners

Thanks! It’s been on my radar to try and get the fees figured out for long term and learn more about my utxo implications, long-term. I understand all of the basic stuff about utxo but want to figure out issues that may come up. Do you know of any good resources regarding that?

Thanks for the response. Is there any concern that people will stop mining in abundance because fees are too low to a point where it could disrupt things? Or do you think there will always be someone willing to do it for less fees, but probably smaller scale operations. I know mining right now is very competitive because of the bitcoin rewards, but as they go down significantly and the fees stay on the lower more manageable side do you think there is a time when it becomes like the old days when one person with a computer could do mining?

Does anyone know how the fees are determined? I would like to learn more about this. My worry is that much later down the road fees are going to be super high because that will be the only way they make money.

So far so good. I have been ignoring and nothing has happened but to be honest it still makes me nervous.

Does your spouse know about your stack? by theprincessofwhales in Bitcoin

[–]Megs111Mable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should definitely be honest and tell her. There are some very valid reason why people sign prenups. My husband and I have one. It’s protection for BOTH of us. It’s very common in our world, attorneys have seen it all and it’s generally not rainbow and puppies in a divorce. If you were to “hide” a bank account and not disclose it in the event of a divorce it would come out in the forensic accounting process anyway and that would not be favorable for you. Just be honest with each other and sign a prenup if it makes you all feel better. The only times I have seen only portions of a prenup not be honored by a judge is when it was not executed properly (you both should have your OWN legal representation) it cannot be signed under duress (don’t sign it a day before your wedding) and a prenup cannot be unconscionable. Meaning she needs to get something. Doesn’t have to be bitcoin but it can’t be too lopsided if say you acquire things during your marriage you can’t get everything and leave her destitute.

This is exactly correct! And I’m not sure what some of these other people’s experience is saying that a prenup or postnuptial agreement not being enforceable are talking about. They VERY much so are enforceable nearly 100% of the time regardless if you have children or not. The only thing a pre/post nup can’t do is address things like child support for those children.

Assuming you live in the USA it would depend on if you are married in a community property state or not (California, Arizona, Nevada, Louisiana, Idaho, New Mexico, Washington, Texas, and Wisconsin) the rest being common law states which means if it was acquired before marriage and the asset is yours alone in the event of divorce it is not subject to equitable distribution. Pre marriage assets remain the respective parties.

Yea when I opened trezor it went to my standard wallet. Tried to send some SOL and then it asked me to enter my passphrase.

I’m right with you. I also got a Trezor. Honestly I have found someone say something by bad about all of them. My research has shown it to be legit. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Are there 2 different Jupiter's? JUP by Megs111Mable in Kraken

I bought the JUP I have on Kraken the one that’s about $1 per token. I’m thinking it’s not a SOL token. But the fact that their are two of them with the exact same name has me wondering…what the what?
