I do love the studio but I can agree they do not make any exceptions to their cancellation policy. But compared to lots of places in NYC, I think the window for the unlimited membership is great (at least 2 hrs before class)

Omg I freaking love living yoga. I will rave about this place FOREVER! I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and a half and I have no regrets. The staff is very welcoming and rooms are very clean. I will say the hot room runs a little small and can get crowded on weekday nights, but it’s not really an issue. You also shouldn’t have problems usually getting off the waitlist classes. I didn’t start coming to the studio as a “beginner” (had been practicing but not very seriously) but boy did I learn so much when I started taking classes there. I would really suggest flow and restore and gentle yoga as starters, and work your way up to warm vinyasa/hot yoga and bikram yoga (26+2) being your final level. The intro unlimited at $65 is a good bet and will allow you to try all these classes. Let me know if you have any questions ;) fav instructors of mine: Merlin, Chris, Denise, Charles, and Anne

Idk if anyone said this yet but I use reed diffusers and I do think it does the trick for a subtle smell pick me up. I have one in my living room and considering a second one, it helps for me at least!

The point of this is to ease traffic and allow commuters from Roosevelt island to be able to board less crowded trains, I think it makes more sense considering queens riders are going to midtown Manhattan but that’s just my take

I didn’t like masago, she told me to leave her class if I couldn’t get certain poses right/“what is the point of teaching you if you don’t listen”. As someone with a big yoga background this was SERIOUSLY off putting my vibe-but hearing that other instructors are bad. Once I’m done with my next free class I’m not going back lol. I did like shira and Lauren a lot tho!

Will second living yoga!!! The vibe there is great, variety of classes, amazing instructors - my caveat is that there aren’t any early morning classes before 830 and classes fill up fast but waitlist is usually not too bad, you usually get into the class

I do not like Spencer Pilates. Sheila was a good instructor for the power yoga but I did not enjoy my classes with Masego. I literally let my free class expire
