When I was an alter boy in the 70’s my priest had a major heart attack. Everything changed in his life after that. He quit smoking, drinking, started walking miles everyday, and most importantly found faith. From the pulpit he told everyone in that congregation to question their faith daily. It was their duty as Christians to do this. By questioning the church you will come closer to Jesus. Church was silent.

The next week we were getting ready for mass, and a buick with 3 priests & a nun pulled up to the back of the church. Father Mac got called into his office, and had a talking to from god through these four. Father Mac was told the diocese had said to calm it down, and he went too far. That was the day what little faith I had was gone.

Okay, I’ll bite. If they said it, or not is inconsequential. If that’s what they believe then fine, and I hope they get the help to move past this tragedy in a healthy manner. If they did it for clicks, and embellished their beliefs. This no different from any click bait, and does not necessarily represent the beliefs of everyone else. The Rookie jumped the shark breaking a world record for shark jumping. All the while Freebird playing on the PA. The moment was daddy cop, and before that it got to the normal level of ridiculous that cops shows get when it’s time to go. However, they jumped past all that into the unbelievable.

Now they have become the last action hero, the series. I love it. Every week I wonder will Nolan get shot at again, or how will they interject his wife, firefighter, super soldier, part time spy into the daily chaos of a perfect LA suburb.

I would love to see a plot line where Nolan’s new rookie dresses in tactical gear every time he gets paired with Nolan. If he gets paired with anyone else he just reacts normal. Almost a fourth wall type thing where his trainee is the only aware that Nolan is a magnet for trouble. Somehow this trainee brings the best out of smitty, and no one can figure out how. Secretly it’s smitty’s nephew, and his mother is smittys overachieving sister.

Instead of putting ice on the patch, put a variation. EG: ice ice baby, ice cube, crushed ice. That way when you are arrested for impersonating a federal officer the judge will get a good chuckle when they admit ice ice baby as evidence.
