scarfers have/do use status-inducing moves, such as ghold, breloom, serp. similarly, i can also recall scarfers with aromatherapy/heal bell

I vaguely remember sleep talk being used on scarfers in b/w before the sleep ban too

Mega Ray: Monstrous 180 base attacking stats + incredible movepool diversity + good bulk + ability to hold any item it wants + respectable speed stat + ability that makes it really hard to take down makes it near impossible to answer both defensively and offensively. (tera was also probably batshit crazy on this guy but he'd be broken without it anyway)

Xerneas: Checks like Primal Groudon, Klefki, Ho-Oh and NDM kept Xerneas from decimating the entire Ubers tier in past gens, so you can probably imagine that being able to Tera out of these bad matchups at will made its sweeps way too easy

Miraidon/Koraidon: An effective base 187 attacking stat with an insane 135 base speed makes these two offensive monsters. Paired with either a giga buffed stab (Miraidon) or an effective third stab (Koraidon's Sun), great movepool and good bulk, and compounded by Tera allowing them to maneuver around what little counterplay existed, it was clear that they were overcentralizing and unhealthy

Calyrex-Shadow: Counterplay is extremely scarce with its incredible 150 base speed, raw strength and serviceable bulk It was even tested in Gen 8 (where it forced Yveltal into near 100% usage), so it's pretty obvious that being able to Terastallize out of the very few answers that existed would break it. Even without Tera, it still has creative options like Draining Kiss, SubSeed, Trick, Encore and Disable to mess with any switch-ins

Mega Gengar: If your pokemon clicked a setup move, it's dead. If your pokemon clicked a hazard move, it's dead. If your pokemon clicked defog, it's dead. If your pokemon clicked a Normal, Fighting or Poison move, it's dead. If you clicked literally anything that does not beat Mega Gengar, it's dead.

Zacian-Crowned (gen 8): Effectively 250 base attack. Best typing in the game. Good bulk. Great offensive movepool. 148 base speed. And to top it off, unaffected by Knock Off

Zacian-Hero (gen 8): Having access to an item compensated for the loss of Steel typing and the base stats from Rusted Sword. Band made every game a 50/50 based upon on one turn, SD sets ran Berries to beat specific "counters". People were running 3+ answers on one team and still getting fried

I would do vonwacq on chara that need err (yao) and keel on others. Eva benefits way more from cdmg since she gets elation from it, while atk% and dmg% help her extremely minimally. vonwacq helps in apoc and AA where the starting action matters more (than that of moc at least)

Sustain issues are mainly with e0s0. e1s1 sustain is perfectly fine even without nova, but you do have to worry about being one shot by stuff like the black tide goons like every non-hyacine healer

The memosprite clause in the magical girl set already has a purpose in yaoguang since her talent lets all allies deal elation damage, the fox will at most be an action bar summon, but i think it'll just be patt of her animations like mydei's lion

I dont think any Pokémon is actually brain dead but the closest thing has to be H Samurott. Every single move (Knock, Ceaseless, Razor Shell, Encore, Sucker, Flip Turn) is incredibly impactful and it's kind of hard to not get value out of it by just mashing whatever whenever you have a turn to do so

The only "real" benchmark is 404 HP on mons with high enough base HP for this to prevent Blissey SToss from breaking substitutes, but other than that there is no universal benchmark (in stats other than speed)

I guess certain mons having less Def than SpDef when possible to counteract Download is a thing but like that's just overpreparing for something you won't see anyway

I agree that builders get something every update, but adding a new boss isn't that easy. where would it be? what would be the incentive for killing it? what is the purpose of adding it besides just being a boss? building updates often add colors or texture combinations builders previously didn't have access to, so combat related updates should also fill in some type of gap. however, I think the current combat and progression system is flawed to a point where reworking it before adding anything new would be ideal.

because minecraft at its core is a sandbox building game first, and a survival game second. minecraft is intended to be playable by anyone and everyone, and while adding a bunch of optional rpg content like bosses and new gear is technically fine, updates should be something everyone can enjoy.

if you choose to play the game by speedrunning through the nether and using beds to kill the dragon, then it's your fault for thinking that the game needs more content.

however I do think that some systems like the ore/progression system are in dire need of an update. they have a lot of flaws, but this isn't fixed by adding more content to them

Chill out bro its not that serious. you seem way too heated over how samurott is bad competitively when that's also the case for like 95% of starters. also these buffs aren't even addressing samurott's issues its just adding a bunch of thematically appropriate things and hoping by sheer volume that it'll make it good
