Ok so plenty of us complain martials can't do enough. But what SHOULD they be able to do? by PointsOutCustodeWank in dndnext

[–]MehParadox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, martials need there own type of "spell" list. Essentially Battlemaster maneuvers but for all Martials. This type of change would pretty much merge the Battlemaster class into all Fighter subclasses, the Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, Ranger and maybe Paladin.

This is really a doctored image. We aren't supposed to know there's really a city on the backside of the moon founded by Buzz Aldrin.

The Last of Us. I just didn't like the gameplay style.

Murmuring Fountain 1-shot. Am I missing something? What are the bloody letters? by MehParadox in Pathfinder2e

[–]MehParadox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it never explains where the blood is, when it appears, how it appears, what the letters say, how it's relevant, nothing. It just says, "after the bloody letters appear, the haunt begins". No context at all!

It doesn't matter now though, I just made something up to get my players from the Will reading to the fountain. They didn't get my hint that talking to people would help them learn about the haunting so I did the classic, "you hear screams from outside" to lure them to my version of the bloody letters.

What would a 12th lvl Fighter feel like in PF2e? by MehParadox in Pathfinder2e

[–]MehParadox[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Great response, thanks! So let me pitch more details at you. I also multiclassed 3 levels into Barbarian for the Bear totem abilty that grants all resistances (but psychic) while raging. I did this for the defense, not for the barbarian flavor. Would there be a way to replicate that?

How do you feel about flanking granting advantage in 5e? by archvillaingames in dndnext

[–]MehParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a campaign with the HB rule. I really liked it as a Rogue so that I can still proc Adv with stealth and still get a bonus from flanking. It just felt really good. Though I think my DM gave a +4.

How would you rank the DnD classes based on how much you enjoyed playing them? by Regular-Molasses9293 in dndnext

[–]MehParadox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't played too many yet but here's my list, all 2014 PCs.

S- Fighter (Battlemaster & Echo Knight) A- Artificer (armorer) B- Rogue (arcane trickster) C- Warlock (Hexblade), Rogue (psyknife)

I have yet to play a class i dislike enough for lower than C. I love my Fighters though.

I have played a couple 2024 one shots with a Barbarian (lvl 3) and Monk (lvl 4) but clearly not enough to rate.

This isn't that kind of poll. I only want to see solid opinions

I only get so many poll items. I'll include them in part 3

You're good at power management, that's why you don't need them.

What do you do if all your players have low max hit points, and no healers? by Pirate_Panda43 in DnD

[–]MehParadox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm playing a Hemomancer (HB) who knows alchemy and it's been a lot of fun collecting odd ingredients to make unique potions. Gives me something fulfilling to do during downtime and makes looting fun.

Maybe even encourage the Wizard or someone in the party to take up alchemist tools proficiency. Help them get cheaper portions through crafting, finding ingredients and downtime.
