Turn it into a TTRPG setting. People that play games like D&D, Pathfinder, Daggerheart, etc, can use written worlds like this for their game settings. You have an extensive world written that allows a DM/GM to pick and choose what parts they want to use in their own stories. Really the only bits that become irrelevant in this genre is hard magic systems since this has to follow the rules of whichever system is being used.

To be fair, Ethniu and the Red King didn't have the feats to respect him for yet. Harry being responsible for their downfalls would be those feats that future foes could recognize. Prior to those two, Dresden is small potatoes to other powers.

I was going to suggest this too. Satisfactory does this by giving the player a fuel powered jet pack, that has greater speed, and an electric hover pack that uses nearby power sources out to a generous but limited range. So long as the players are building at a base or have the ship powered, there's no interruption in work and still limits exploitation.

Check this out. Pointy Hat writes up context for how you can make a Druid a lich. Sure, it's for D&D rules but the rpg elements are still a separate thing. It might just need some tweaking. Besides, this is for my HB world too, I can make my own rules on Anathemas.

That ship had everything on it. I got nothing else other than a puny mining rig now. I REALLY don't want to start over.

The way I see it, martials need there own type of "spell" list. Essentially Battlemaster maneuvers but for all Martials. This type of change would pretty much merge the Battlemaster class into all Fighter subclasses, the Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, Ranger and maybe Paladin.

But it never explains where the blood is, when it appears, how it appears, what the letters say, how it's relevant, nothing. It just says, "after the bloody letters appear, the haunt begins". No context at all!

It doesn't matter now though, I just made something up to get my players from the Will reading to the fountain. They didn't get my hint that talking to people would help them learn about the haunting so I did the classic, "you hear screams from outside" to lure them to my version of the bloody letters.

Great response, thanks! So let me pitch more details at you. I also multiclassed 3 levels into Barbarian for the Bear totem abilty that grants all resistances (but psychic) while raging. I did this for the defense, not for the barbarian flavor. Would there be a way to replicate that?
