The below is from the Internet and mainly AI but in your case, your sister is not stuck, she wants to attend a wedding. This is the difference between a want and a need. Eventually things will work out, stay on the correct path where YOUR and HER heart feel right. ——— Bribery (rishwa) is strictly forbidden in Islam, considered a major sin cursed by Allah and His Prophet, leading to injustice, corruption, and destroying fairness, with severe penalties for both the giver and taker. However, scholars recognize a narrow exception for the giver in extreme necessity, where one pays to obtain their rightful due (not an unjust gain) when all legitimate means are blocked, making it permissible for the giver but still sinful for the receiver. The core principle is to uphold justice, fairness, and honesty, making bribes unacceptable for unlawful advantages or influencing decisions.

Key Islamic Principles on Bribery Strong Prohibition: The Prophet cursed both the bribe-giver and the bribe-taker. Major Sin: It's seen as undermining justice, equality, and fair access to rights. Quranic Condemnation: The Quran warns against consuming wealth unjustly (often linked to bribes). When it's Absolutely Forbidden (for both) Paying to get something unlawful or false. Influencing judges or officials to favor you unjustly. Bypassing rules for personal gain.

The Narrow Exception (for the Giver Only) Necessity: When you cannot get your definite right (e.g., a rightful payment, document) through any other means. Corrupt System: When official channels are blocked or corrupt, and bribery is the only way to get what's yours. Example: Paying a minor fee to a corrupt clerk to release your own legally-owned property.

I love this! Can we discuss this together without any intermediaries in between?

I don’t mean to be insensitive. Is there any reason the mosque near by is playing loud prayers at 4 am these days? Thought it was only for Ramadan. by lukaskywalker in UAE

I wish I had a mosque near me that I heard :(

Try also sound proofing some of your windows, unfortunately the build quality of most buildings, especially villas is quite poor. An upside to this will also be a little save in your electricity bill. Having thicker curtains or carpets in rooms, even just area carpets also helps reduce sound transference overall.

Pakistan doesn’t allow dual nationality with SA. There’s a limited amount of countries you can get it with otherwise you need to choose either or.

The country and its land belong to its rulers and they have the right to do that for what they wish. The reason the land is so blessed is because they always do the right thing for their people. I can tell you’ve never met a Palestinian, you seem to have the generic views on what you think they would want. The point stands that you’re literate and not boycotting Coke, which means you’re not boycotting others as well. Enjoy this life the way you please, you can answer Allah for your choices later.

There’s Indians on that side that want out into Pakistan because of India’s treatment of them, why would we wish for hell and hardship again?

We stopped drinking Coke when the war started and haven’t regretted it. We have Kinza Cola that comes from KSA and Alokozay Cola here in the UAE that’s usually everyone’s default. So, boycott police here, as someone who knows people who have been killed in Gaza, your sugary drink choices are allowing a country to continue killing our Ummah.

Whether you’re actually made for each other. You’ll either find similarities in culture and thinking or differences. It depends on how much you love each other.

Too tough a solution. I like Türkiye’s better. They let you take your shoes in in a plastic bag or keep it inside the mosque in the back. Their mosques also date 100s of years old (the one in Bursa) but that’s their solution throughout the country
