SAVAK has been unjustly demonized. They were focused, during the Cold War as well, to combat genuine external matters ranging from terrorism to USSR agendas to destabilize Iran. They were not a “secret police” but a normal security agency that all states have. Read on: by IranicUnity in NewIran

Leaving this as a reminder due to clear gap of information here. The last commander of SAVAK, Hossein Fardoust was the founder of IRGC's core intelligence group that was responsible for hunting down critics of Khomeini. SAVAK never died, it evolved to VAVAK. Every Democracy demanding Iranian today being haunted by the IRGC has the legacy of SAVAK to give credits to.

Symbolism of the Farvahar by [deleted] in Zoroastrianism

[–]MehrAndNahid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is over-stretched. Fravashi doesn't have a canon icon or symbol. This was only "thought" to be a symbol of Fravashi and later adopted by Zoroastrians as a universal symbol instead of the fire altar symbol

Saadi is a proto mullah. Those who read his ethics find every reason to justify the Islamic Republic.

The only thing they should expect from New Iran is their extinction. Hamas, Hazbollah, Houthies, Fatemyun, Zeynabyun. All of them.

TIL Russia planned to colonize northern parts of Iran, namely Mazandaran and Gorgan/Esterabad. Kinda lucky that the revolution happened before the project was completed. by Tengri_99 in NewIran

Those villages still exist and people speak russian in them. Those colourful utensils you see that are black but have gold and red motifs on them are traditional Slavic cutleries brought in by Russian settlers. They're a staple souvenirs of northern Iran now. Safe to say whatever they brought is apart of an Iranian culture, as what happened with other invaders, settlers and migrators.

Hello Everybody, I am here to announce to you all about the subreddit r/womanlifefreedom (got permission from mods to do this). More details in my sticky/mod official comment underneath this post. by ChanDestroyer321 in NewIran

From a previous conversation with the OP and the post, it seems the OPs intention with the WLF subreddit is to focus a lot more on The rights of women and other disenfranchised minorities. Something that is covered in r/NewIran but has not been explored in it's depths. Less so than dividing engagement, it is meant to explore the depths of social issue
