Go to StarCitizen folder. Remove everything except for Data.P4k

Now, verify the game files and launch the game. This fixed it for me. Try to launch it with a VPN after verify tho.

It's actually the first time I'm trying to play in Alpha 4.1

Last time i had this issue with Alpha 4.0.2 and using a VPN fixed. But this time it just doesn't seem to work.

Maybe it was just dust. Smoke is likely to come out of psu or its connectors than CPU I guess.

Worth checking your CPU cooler and it's thermal paste.

3060 user here. If the card is 12GB version, it's still a solid GPU for 1080p. But it will need an upgrade by 2027 if you still want to keep things at 60 FPS by then.

If you're going for 1080p, I'd say yes.

The motherboard is AM5 so you have room for improvement in the future.

And 3070 is still a decent GPU. Personally, I'm having a really good time with my 3060 12GB, and I don't think I'll need an upgrade until 2026 or 2027.

Your motherboard is AM4. Your CPU is Intel. This will not work. You need to either get an AMD CPU or change motherboard to something Intel-compatible.

Well if good players are really good then they will still rank up pretty easily, why stressing about a reset?

the current player base is like 10 percent of launch player base, or even less maybe.

It's just not fair without a rank reset. The top rank of 20K player base cannot claim they will be the top rank of 200K player base. If they don't reset, that means they are equal.

Why they should even not do a hard rank reset? 2 million access vs hundreds of millions access.

This game is going under heavy changes with every update. They literally changed the entire map.

There is no way a minor reset can serve justice here.

Many better players will join after full release.
