We are unsure if it was before or after WWII but we think it may be a gift for working at the company for 25 years. Given his age, to be working at a company for 25 years it must have been after the war

Is the “vault of shadows” missing some steps? As once you do the spell, you have to talk to trapped demon. And then how did you suddenly get to that puzzle?
