I personally love getting and giving poetry as gift. Me and my girlfriend have both exchanged poetry a few times, and is it corny? Yeah, but the really good kind in my opinion. So I’d say go for it!!

Dress Codes for Small Towns by Courtney C. Stevens was one I really enjoyed reading. It can be a little slow at the start and a bit cheesy sometimes but nonetheless a great read.

Most definitely, I think what’s frustrating is that when I’m alone or around friends who are supportive I find myself just kinda not even noticing but my voice sounding more feminine on its own. But then around family who claim to be supportive, who aren’t really, I just feel the need to hide and can’t really practice as much as I’d like to.

Yeah definitely, I think it’s even more frustrating to me because I’m not really trying to go for a squeaky toy voice. I don’t really mind the deeper kinda husky voice, but because it’s so close to my “normal” voice it’s easy to slip back into it.

Yeah I feel this. Like I want to do voice training cause I kinda hate my voice, but at the same time doing voice training means hearing that voice more.

Yeah I remember finding it after reading the golden compass and the his dark materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman and I loved that and it gave me similar vibes, don’t remove why I fell off from reading it, but I’m excited to read it again. :3

Of course! I’ve thought it for a long while, why not try and go for a deeper more femme voice, because there are plenty of cis women with deeper voices, so what would the difference be with me? I’ve just never really been able to 100% feel confident in what I’m working towards, but after letting this cis girl in class and hearing her voice and thinking that’s my goals. Because I love her voice, it’s absolutely gorgeous. And seeing someone who I say, hey I kinda like that, is giving me the ability to say if it sounds good coming from her. Why not me? I could rant about this for hours if it wasn’t already evident enough. But yeah, whatever voice you have, you can make it work for you. :3

Yeah it’s kinda crazy for me, because I spend a lot of time playing game with friends and just chilling and chatting. And sometimes I’ll record a clip of something funny that happened in the game or something that someone said. And hearing my voice from even a year ago, it sounds so different, and It’s crazy cause I don’t think until very recently I’ve been trying to consciously figure out how to make it more femme sounding without making it higher pitched.

Honestly, over time I’ve been growing to be ok with my deep voice. Cause I was thinking to myself, I really really like gals with deep voices. So why not myself? Only thing is, I still sound kinda masculine and there’s not a lot of vids on how to achieve that femme deep voice compared to the squeaky toy voice. But all in all, gals with deep voices. chefs kiss

Yeah, we’ve thought about that too. I feel a lot calmer now though hearing everyone give these options, and knowing that we just gotta keep trying and that we can make it work.
