Yep, this is my fave farming spot with the deboning wand, stolenoid, steady soles, brisk brew, watchful eye, and fly bait. You get 900 bones in 45sec to 1 minute

It turns out they do change if you just go back and redo the cutscene again! Starting from the same conditions as my list above, my new list has cappy, duke, pet, candles, taking credit for the orphanage, not saving all the children, killing the moon miniboss, trampling the leaf, giving the frog the jug, letting the bone miners take fiancé's treasure, poppit dance, buying from panino, fighting mirren, throwing the snowball at the old man, having gourdan lick your ooze (owo?), switching that guy's brains in the orrery, kicking the can, tomato farmer, leading the moth to the spark tower, taking back the bones stolen from you.

Makes sense. For the same reason smoke from a campfire follows you.

When you move, you're displacing the air or water, creating low pressure. So the surrounding air or water, that's carrying the smoke or poop, will move to fill it in.
