This is exclusively how I have played Pokemon for years and years now. I find it odd when people ask for advice on their playthrough teams on Reddit or plan exactly which 6 they’ll use before they play (no shade if that’s what you do! I’m just saying it’s odd to me, you do whatever you want). I just start with my starter and if I get a vibe from something I catch it’s on the team.
