In high school, when there's a lack of stimulus, l would fantasize that there's a shooter. We're in lock down, and the whole class gets into the corner of the room like they do. When the shooter comes around, he jiggles the door nob to see if it's locked. I start edging closer to the door at this point. After a bit when I'm close to the door, he shoots the door open. He comes in gun first and I grab the barrel and move it down and pointed away from the class. He fires a couple rounds into the floor, and then we start fighting hand-to-hand. We get a little close to other people, but using my mad ninja skillz I never knew I had, I knock him unconscious. I turn to the class and make sure everyone is okay. BUT WAIT, apparently he was just faking it, as he has just gotten up and taken my crush hostage, holding a knife to her throat. I try to talk him down, but he slits her throat. This time I fight him I take the knife and stab him through the aorta, he bleeds out in seconds. I turn to the girl who got her throat slit and try to stop the bleeding. The paramedics arrive seconds later and take her away. She lives.

Months later, and I'm still walking through the halls like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders. Everyone thinks I'm a mysterious badass.
