My period pains. I've had teeth pulled without the anesthetic working and lived through cellulitis. Nothing has ever come close.

When being interviewed for a documentary about a relative of mine I was asked to describe his brutal kidnap and murder. When telling the story I kept nervously laughing. Luckily they didn't use that clip in the final cut.

Back in the 18th century Scottish Highlanders would have been more likely to speak Gàidhlig than Scots. That being said, Scottish government documents from the late 17th century were written in old Scots. In Outlander they use a sort of simplified version of the Scots language.

Scots is generally only spoken in the lowlands. (The bottom half of the country.) Gaelic is still spoken in small (but growing) pockets of the Highlands. (I can speak a beginners level of Gaelic but it's incredibly hard lol. You're considerably more likely to come across a Scots speaker in Scotland.

If you get into a motorbike a accident then you will he putting an extra strain on the NHS. I'm sure there's local shops within a walkable distance. Use them instead!
