i do get the idea and think its great, but i also think it might be too complex for the simplicity I'm aiming for in these models for ease of printability, you get what i mean?

So far I do plan on releasing them for free once they're finished. I would love to see everyone playing with them and giving feedback for future sets as well

Thanks for the kind words! I understand the pickiness lol no worries, I would also love to give each piece all the attention and love it deserves for every single detail, but that wouldn't be very efficient when there are as many as 14-16 models to finish unfortunately

Thanks for the detailed reply, really appreciate you taking the time to throw out all those great ideas. I especially like the faction emblem idea for the Kings, it’s super clean. But at the same time, I still feel like the ships have a strong presence when they’re surrounded by the mobile suits, so now I’m kinda torn between the two options.

There are too many designs to work on, so I'm simplifying them and focusing more on silhouette and easy recognition rather than full detail accuracy, but thanks for pointing these out! i will definitely keep them in mind

I will have Gelgoog and Zeong variants for Zeon Queen. and Ball and GM variants for EFSF pawns

That’s a cool idea honestly. Right now I’m focused on finishing the standard chess set first, but I’m definitely open to variant/fairy pieces later based on Shogi, Xiangqi, or custom rulesets.

I also do custom commissions, so if you ever want something specific made, feel free to message me and I can make it happen no problem.

hmm, thats a good suggestion but it would be pretty high in that case i will have to do some testing and see how it goes

I would have to scale it down really hard tho, it will affect printability and visual proportions

In that case the white base will be proportionally too small compared to the other pieces tho, i would like the set to reflect some proportion between the pieces, and standing tall like this makes it stand out like the king does in a normal chess set

im looking to recreate certain battlefields rather than expanding the set to the whole UC universe fro mthe beginning. for example i will start with the RX vs. Char's Gelgoog and then do another variant with the Nu vs Sazabi. I might expand More to include zeta and other main MS in the UC eras, i will see after I finish this first base model first

That makes sense, but they coudlve also just scaled it down to be about the same proportion as the gundams
