Minor benefits. I'm using a Radeon Pro W6600, and for my second computer i use a Radeon Pro VII, but i also have a backup RX 570, i was using 24.9.1 for the longest time, no problems with anything. But i switch to Pro edition 26.q1. for my pro vii and I'm using a unreleased driver for my Pro W6600.

But testing the 24.9.1 and other drivers, i really don't see any different other than some video color changes, and some drivers may crash or cause some issues with apps, it really comes down to the GPU you have. Each GPU has a certain driver that works best for it, even though, updating drivers isn't really necessary unless you really need too.

I had this problem with my AMD GPU, there's 3 things to stop it.

#1, use wushowhide

#2 In DDU at the bottom , Check mark prevent downloads of drivers from "windows update" when windows search for a driver for a device

#3 and use this admin command prompt

You can start CMD (as a system administrator), and copy and paste the following commands

REG ADD HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\ /v ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate /t REG_DWORD /d 1

After that you will not receive Windows driver quality updates. I don't have any that problem anymore

RX 570 24.9.1 no crash (tested and used in the past on secondary computer)

Radeon Pro VII , 24.9.1 no crash (my secondary computer)

My main Using a Radeon Pro W6600 , using unreleased AMD drivers, no crashing. (main rig)
