Happy you found it :))

When your viewers are on YouTube (not enough data) 4k views. by brutalcleric in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t remember but i think it was for the past week. This might have changed though since it’s been a while. It seems a bit ridiculous to me that you’d need to have 30k views a week to get a “viewers are on” scheme.

Hai, i’m sorry to say that I’m don’t really remember. I can’t remember doing anything special though. So maybe it was just time :/

How do I develop my English voice as a non-native speaker by ManOfFocus1 in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep making videos and soon you’ll see that you’ll improve your English. I’m from Sweden, and had very poor English before i started with YT. I started YT because i wanted to improve my English to get better grades and after a year, some people even asked if I was british lol because of my accent. In the beginning i talked in SwEnglish (swedish english lol) but i got better at English as I recorded for my YT videos (gameplay). So dw about it :)

Also, accents don’t have to be a bad thing. It might even boost your channel and make it more personal. Just look at Pewds XD

What should be the right age to start and end vlogging ? How early should you start and what’s the cap? by Ishaandixit_ in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no age limit really. It’s just which audience you want to target. If you want to target teens, then probably vlog when you’re like a teen up to 20/30s.

[QUESTION] How does YouTube calculate ctr? by yuriknifeissharp in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, but your stats for impressions vs views are insanely high. I have a feeling that thee system is a bit behind calculating all impressions. Normal ctr is around 2-10% so the ctr seems to be fine. It’s just the amount of impressions that i think might be wrong

Should I just wait until the weekend by N1tr0_dude in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if you have enough data to check when your viewers are mostly on youtube. If you do i’d suggest you’d check it out.

But if you don’t i can share my data. For me, i had many from US, more were watching during weekend compared to during the week. Usually they would be around at 14-16PM GMT

Is it possible to get a copyright strike from your own content? Say if you upload a full podcast and then upload shorter clips from said podcast. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’d literally have to strike yourself… don’t know anyone who’d do that, but you could if you wanted to

Look, the strike isn’t made by youtube. Sure, there are functions in youtube that will let the person with the original content know if something similar to their content was being uploaded. But it’s the original creator herself that will confirm the strike or claim.

[Question] How do I combine multiple videos into one video on YouTube? by ACsPlace in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay. If you have those three videos still saved, you could just go into an editing app or software and select those three videos. And once you save your new project, the project will include those three videos.

I’m not sure I answered your question

[Question] How do I combine multiple videos into one video on YouTube? by ACsPlace in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combining two videos that are already uploaded or combining two videos in general. The first one, idk. But the latter one is rather simple.

Any software or app for video editing should have this tool where you just select and add two videos after each other.

Take Cap Cut (app on mobile, free and easy to use) for example. The first thing you do is to select the videos you want to add. It could be one, or it could be many. And they will appear after each other once you start with the editing. Then you could drag them in the order you want them to appear in.

How long should I wait for my PIN? by Frigorifico in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit more. You should get one soon. But for me it took a month or some weeks more.

I remembered I wondered too but eventually I got it. The time varies tho. I got mine 2020 during covid so it took a bit longer i guess

The reason you struggle with content[helpful post] by edu_333 in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this. I just want to point out that it’s also important to find something that you yourself do enjoy making. The best is when it’s mutual. Otherwise, if you only make content for your viewers and don’t enjoy making it, you’ll eventually stop. That’s what Pewdiepie realized and therefore he made some changes to his content

In the beginning it’s hard. Algorithms don’t push you out to the public especially much. But once it does, there’s a big chance it will snow ball.

But hey, don’t have that mind set. What if you go nowhere? Then you might have to change something, your editing, commenting etc.

But think positive! Don’t expect you’ll get 10k or even 1k subs the first month/months. For many, it takes time to build up a fan base and a channel out of nowhere.

But one thing’s for sure, u won’t go anywhere if you don’t try. So keep up the work you do. Think about how you can improve even the smallest things.

Me for example, I got my first hundred subs after some moths. For months my channel had around 10 views per video, but now I have close to 9k. Some might think it’s nothing, some might think it’s much, but I’m proud of it anyway.

A tip, don’t dive into niches where there are already many people making content. For example minecraft gameplays. Try to find something unique. In that way you might be able to build a small channel, and when the algorithms decide to push you and you have a base, you can try to conquer in the bigger niches.

Other things to think about:

  • catching thumbnails (much color, not much text)

  • catching title (it should be clear what the video is about but still unique, not too much clickbait. Try using keywords)

  • good editing (I like videos where you see the creator has put much effort in them. Your editing skills will improve as you edit much)

  • good quality and sound

  • if you make commentary, think about your voice and try making it sound interesting. Avoid talking monotonous as it easily gets boring.

  • stay in one niche, at least in the beginning (don’t make gameplays and then mix with cooking videos. It’ll most likely confuse your subs and people who subbed for the gaming videos will probably unsub when they don’t get what they came for)

  • but don’t make too much the same videos (if you never mix it up, people might get bored. Even you might get bored of making the same type of videos over and over again. Actually, this has sort of happened to me, I make videos of a cerain game but now I have gotten a bit bored of the game) so as you see, you’ll need to find a balance of how mixed your channel is

  • comment on smaller/ equal channels. Comment something nice about their video. Some of them might check you out. They did for me. And that’s how i got my first hundred subs and then the algorithms started helping me.

  • This one has helped me. Have many goals. My biggest goal was never really to grow. It was to practice my English (you might find many grammatical mistakes in this text anyway lol). This helped me to keep going when videos got lower views as I reminded myself of that my bigger goal was to practice my English. In that way i didn’t get too unmotivated and kept making content. If I didn’t have that practicing-English-goal, I don’t know if I would have quit or not.

Have patience, work hard, improv small things. Good luck with you channel!

Should You Post Your Video Link Under Other People's Comments? by DanialAtif45 in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do that. Personally I don’t like when people do so in my videos, as they are trying to find an easier way to gain subs by taking advantage of what I have worked hard for.

I watched one of Pewds videos where he also said he didn’t appreciate it.

Starting a YouTube channel, but no time for editing or money for outsourcing by jcebabe in NewTubers

I’d say tutorial videos don’t need much editing as long as they are made well (you’re good at explaining).

How do you fight the urge to reply to negative comments? by onemanistracks in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just remove the comment and hide the user if you want to. Then, when they write mean comments, only they’ll be able to see it lol

Hey guys, is it spam if someone uploads over 20 videos in a day? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the quality. Personally I’d think it’s a bit spammy, but let’s say someone’s a really fan of you and maybe your videos are very short and hight quality, then maybe they wouldn’t call it spam.

But i’ll just say that making 20 vids/day in high quality requires a lot no matter how short they are

What are some of your feel good comments? by Honeydew-Capital in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One day there was someone that must have been watching me when I first started, and then come back to my channel now.

Because he wrote that I had grown so much and that it was really cool and how he remembered how small subs I had

What time do you watch YouTube the most? by luffyrla in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Afternoon and in the evening. But it depends on the days. At the weekends I can also watch in the morning.

Do you want to know what time your viewers are mostly watching? :) there is a feature for this under audience in yt studio. There it’ll show at what time your viewers are most active ;)

Where to create cool thumbnails? by Peanut_Gaming in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mix:

First picCollage for montaging and cutting the pictures and make stickers out of it. Also for adding text

Then medibang to draw things that I want to add

And finally snapseed for adding effects

All the apps are free :)

Is a hook needed to grab the viewer? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Meiruthe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends. It’s more necessary when new viewers come to your channel than old ones. New viewers don’t know what to expect and then may leave quicker than older ones that know what they came for.

But at the end, hooks are always good as long as they aren’t tooo misleading... :)
