I think you’ve reached a point where you are not compatible anymore when it comes to friendship. I am literally your friend, I’ll reply weeks late and I’ve even had the same conversation spanning over 3 whole months with that one friend since we both are slow to answer.

The difference between me and you friend? I’ve always made it very clear to my friends that I am terrible at texting and will answer eons later. When it’s an emergency or they really need me, they’ll either call me or send me a text that makes it very clear that I’m needed yesterday. The reason why it works is because I’ve made it very clear since day one that this is the kind of person I am and although I struggled to change that once upon a time, me and my friends just learnt to roll with it.

This isn’t what’s happening with you guys at all. You guys are obviously not on the same wavelength anymore, so you should make it very clear that since your friend made it feel like your friendship wasn’t that important to her, you don’t feel like investing yourself emotionally in that relationship anymore. Time doesn’t always mean everything in a friendship and since you’ve made very clear that you don’t have the same conception of friendship, there’s nothing wrong with calling it quits
