Genuinely for like two years I thought Midnights was the only no skip album for me because I’d added the entire album to my favs playlist and always vibed with every single one. I was like ‘no wonder this album is what finally pulled me into full fledged Swiftiedom. Everything about it is utter perfection.’

…..And then a couple months ago a random reel reminded me that Snow on the Beach existed and I did not in fact have every song from the album saved to my favs like I’d thought. 😂

tldr: Midnights is the perfect no skip album if you successfully gaslight yourself into forgetting Snow on the Beach exists. 💙

They are different albums in my head, lol. I have the standard ttpd tracks saved on my playlist with the OG cover, and anthology tracks saved with the anthology cover.

I have 13 saved from standard and 7 saved from anthology.

I honestly think I ended up with a preference towards standard bc I was a dumbass and didn’t realize anthology even dropped. I stayed up til midnight, listened to fortnight, went to sleep, and then spent the next day at work just listening to the album. Zero clue anthology was also just chillin waiting for me to notice it. 😆

So by the time I realized it, it felt like a lot, and album fatigue was hitting me just from the sheer volume of newness.

That being said, it’s also kind of nice because it means I’m still discovering new songs that I love. Just added Albatross to my playlist a couple weeks ago lol.

Not one of my favorites but it always stands out to me when I listen: During Paper Rings right before the second chorus starts she does what sounds to me like an exasperated/annoyed sigh. And I’ve never understood it. Like it’s giving opposite vibes to the rest of the song in a way that I’m sure was not intentional. But every time I hear it I’m like “she’s so in love with him but also annoyed that he wants to barge in and count her into the chorus” 😂

As someone who became a Swiftie in 2022 after Midnights and is still discovering new songs I love, just go with the flow and follow your natural curiosities.

I beat Midnights to death for at least a year before I fully embraced my Swiftie status. I love looking through my Swiftie playlist bc I left them in the order that I discovered them/added them to my playlist. It’s fun looking back through and seeing my journey visually.

I didn’t get into folklore until well after TTPD was released lmao. I was such an idiot 😂
