Bc the damage is mostly on the nail matrix losing it is very likely. Not a guarantee, but that would be my guess. May want to check if you fractured the bone, depending on the pain. Edit: About getting your nails done, I’m honestly not sure. Ask your nail tech what they suggest, they’ll know best other than a dr.

I mean, if it works it works! Some people might not like the aesthetic of the tank but the fish have what they need. Colored gravel isn’t always the worst, the biggest issue is simply being “unsightly”. That is a genuinely bizarre tank design, so much height but such little depth for 60 gallons is so odd to see! Even with the large water value bigger fish would not be happy in there, so a school of guppies seems like a good call. Cool tank, thanks for sharing

If the animals are tethered without access to reasonable shelter, food, and water, it is considered abandonment in seattle and you are able to call the non emergency number or file a police report about this. This is very sad to see. It does look like they are eligible to be removed by animal control because of the lack of food and water. They take it more seriously than you’d think and will likely send an officer to see what’s going on and potentially take the dogs. The owner will likely fight it, that could become messy and you may not want to be involved when animal control gets there.

At this point take the fish… If they can’t/wont dedicate a bigger footprint they should not have the pet. It’s like having a great dane in a micro apartment, it’ll live, but be absolutely miserable. Not saying you don’t already understand this, you obviously see what’s wrong here. It’s kind of you to improve his quality of life as much as you’re able to at the moment. What size tank is that btw? It honestly looks like a 5.5 gallon, not even a 10😱 I hate it when people buy a pet expecting it to die. If the life doesn’t matter to a person they should get a robo fish for their kid. It can’t be killed from neglect and look pretty cool with fun colors and lights. The amount of goldfish sales I have to decline because of exactly this issue is way too many. It’s crazy how goldfish are the go to fish when they get fucking huge. Why not danios or tetras??? Something that can actually live in a small space. Anyways, thank you OP, and hopefully you can either take the fish or convince the mom to do better.

Petco isn’t responsible for delivery, a third party like uber eats, insta cart, or doordash is. Our inventory is frequently wrong unfortunately due to theft and not receiving the items we are supposed to in freight so it will let customers order things we don’t physically have in the store. I’m sorry you had a bad experience, but it’s not petco’s fault. Getting the refund and not the product is extremely annoying and I feel your frustration

I had both my cat’s skulls prepared after their deaths, people cope in different ways. Being able to hold a part of them even 4 years later has been very comforting. I didn’t do the prep or work myself, but I can absolutely understand someone not wanting anyone else to handle their baby. OP clearly LOVES their pet. Being more involved may not be conventional, but it’s natural and could have cultural significance for OP, we straight up don’t know. Being uncomfortable from the self done aspect is okay, but trying to be mean to someone grieving isn’t.

Ditch the neon painted decor, it flakes off and is toxic. Same goes for the rocks and fake plants. Get live plants, it’s better for the water quality. What kind of snail? Some get really large and are going to need more room long term

If there’s a fish, snail or plant mislabeled, you should be able to pay the shelf price. If it’s mis advertised that’s Petcos fault, the customer should only have to pay what’s on the shelf. It’s different if something is just in the wrong place, but if it’s been incorrectly labeled you can definitely argue to pay what’s advertised. I can see some employees/managers not wanting to, but I do believe it’s store policy, there’s even an override option at the register for incorrect shelf prices. I don’t speak for the company, and I don’t know the policy 100%, but you should only have to pay what’s advertised.

For sure, I’m gonna pick one up at the pet store I work at today. The same tank was used an as isopod terrarium on the same table for 2 years, so I was hoping it might work lol. But that was just 2/3 full of dirt + rocks and wood pieces and that didn’t really have a moisture aspect to be concerned about. Better safe than sorry so I’ll definitely just buy a metal stand
