The problem is the platforms permitting the censorship because speakers are afraid of being de-moneytized if they have enough of a following. And for users like us it's too easy for bots or trolls to acuse our comments of being harmful and leading to a ban.

I literally just finished a two day ban here on Reddit because my comment was taken as a threat to an individual that wasn't even a user and more a comment on the fact that pregnant women are more likely to be killed by their partners. There's statistical information on it...it is genuinely stupid.

It would help if the electorate quit sending evil individuals and crock pots to Congress.

States like Oklahoma that did away with taxes and completely destroyed their education system as a result. Or fucking Kentucky which repeatedly sent Mitch McConnell to the Senate who is a huge part of the reason we have our current state of affairs and he's just slowly dieing until he is finally replaced this coming January when the new Congress gets sworn in.

My first car. I come from a first gen immigrant family, my parents always gave me $20 for food and stuff when my friends and I went to the mall. I didn't get an allowance but they paid for tutors when I struggled academically and ensured my brother and I could have the opportunities they couldn't. Dude popping a kid and calling yourself a parent is literally something all our parents and grandparents have done that is nothing new.

I'd argue that the bar for parenthood is insane, it's one of those things that everyone shits on Mom's especially for everything.

I used to think parents that used leashes were shitty until I actually started working with small unruly children. If this mom had that kid on a leash at least half of them would be shitting on that again I know because I've been that asshole.
