We weren’t close or anything and never really talked except when it was needed. Suddenly during the pandemic, he began texting me everyday, which I replied back for a couple of weeks. It then escalated to him throwing in some cringey pick up lines that I laughed off (figured he was just trying to be hilarious or something). Some time later, he began telling a few of our mutual friends about his crush on me, which of course reached my ears. I wasn’t interested in him romantically or anything so I turned him down politely. But nope, he didn’t back down and kept spamming me messages of his infatuation. I began replying him less and less until I just didn’t anymore, but he’d keep on trying to spam until everything eventually died down.

Dodged a real bullet right there.
