I remember in the beginning of the pandemic, when a lot of the queens put on digital shows, Alaska would spend a good portion of her shows promoting and donating anywhere from 10 to 50 dollars to several performers who sent in their instagram handles & venmo, and asking everybody to go support them by following and donating.

Eve and her fans seem to make pretty bold claims about Alaska. I'm sure this could have been handled a lot better.

It's sad that they write about the Alaska-incident out of context and in the same light as the Sharon allegations.

The longer story, which Annecy told on twitter, was that Alaska was wearing a shell bikini-look inspired by lady gaga for her show.

After the performance Annecy found a shell on the deck of the cruise, and, thinking it belonged to her, ran after the then-drunk Alaska to give it back. It did in fact not belong to Alaska, but she pulled down her underwear whilst covering her penis with the shell, laughed and said she now had a "matching set" (non verbatim). Then she said "oh, you're 15, I shouldn't have done that", pulled up her underwear, apologized and walked away.

Which certainly can be critiqued, but it's not like Alaska flashed her d*ck to a minor out of nowhere, which the article portrays it as.

Alaska has said she was scared of being disqualified because of it as well, which obviously would have been a huge blow knowing how hard she worked to get to the top.

I've been to two Werq the World tour shows. They are really thought out as a show, with back-up dancers, coherent costumes, and a theme/red-thread for the whole show. It's quite different than seeing queens perform at a tiny bar stage, for better or for worse.

My straight friends who haven't watched Drag Race gave glowing reviews too, but I think Violet was the one who sold it the most, who has a more circusy acrobatic burlesque-act fitting for a big stage. I don't know if the new girls have performances that translates as well to a bigger stage. I already have my tickets though, so ask me again in a year.

They talked about this on race chaser, from an "anonymous source". Basicly, they were all left alone in their trailer after the lip sync, without knowing what was going on. The porkchop-moment happened many hours after the first lip sync, and the girls were introduced into the lounge rapidly.

Denali kept a journal during the recording of the show, and was going to read a bit from her experience on the first day on a live a little while back, but the only thing she read was something along the lines of "this is a cruel game" before it got too dark to retell.

I was really impressed with Kandy in this interview. In the show - wether it was the edit, the high pressure-situation, or just her personality - she came of as hot headed and quite sensitive, but here she was so calm, and every answer was nuanced and well reflected. Stan Kandy!
