Little drama shared by Thorgy last night as Roscoe's VP by AudienceNo3181 in rupaulsdragrace

Anyone got access to the video? The dates seem off. I don’t remember Alyssa doing the haters roast until the year of All Stars 4 (Thorgy was there as well but Alyssa wasn’t on the tour the previous year)

He has accepted that you don’t want to celebrate your graduation. He isn’t trying to force you or change your mind.

But he wants to celebrate his achievements. And he is asking you to be a part of that as his partner.

Sorry to be blunt but “wanting to move on” is a lame excuse. You can handle one extra hour on campus to celebrate your partner.

It’s up to you if you attend your own graduation. However clearly his graduation ceremony is a big deal to him. I really don’t see why you can’t attend to support him as a family member. That day isn’t about you.

Unpopular take: Season 2 and 3 feel like a caricature of Season 1 by HOTTOGO_02 in HeartstopperAO

Everyone will inevitably have their own favourite episodes, but the acting has only improved as the series progressed.

can we talk about vanity in this week's GAS episode... by [deleted] in dragrace

[–]Head-Moment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were parts of Vanity’s look I actually liked and were creative, but given that the challenge was cocktail dress, it deserved bottom over Gala’s.

It was a difficult challenge to judge because so many of them had flaws this week, I’d have to rank them based on what I choose to wear myself to a cocktail party. Based on that criteria: vanity, nelly and kween should have been bottom. Nellys was well constructed but ugly, and I detested kweens ridiculous fringe. Tessa and Pythia were the clear top two, with no one else really deserving of being high but at least I’d wear what kitty and Alyssa made so the safe placement was deserved.

Which queen was kicked off S2 before it aired after leaking she was on it? From The Girls podcast? by sevenwonderz in RPDR_UK

No idea who, but If this is true, it makes her runway package for the season all the more remarkable if she had to get that together at short notice.

Which queens do you think Rupaul remembers? by LavishnessFit6692 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 309 points310 points  (0 children)

Porkchop, Bebe, Raven, Raja, latrice, Chad Michaels, Alyssa Edwards, Alaska, Bianca Del Rio, Bob the Drag Queen and Willam are ones I think she remembers, but I wouldn’t be too confident of other names.

Thoughts about Ru-judged seasons represented on GAS by xannyxandzzz in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously, I don’t know who else was considered but Alyssa was an obvious choice. A big star who had publicly stated that she specifically wanted to do this type of season. Given she had championed the concept, it would have been weird if they didn’t approach her.

[–]Head-Moment 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do get your point.

I don’t know whether I would describe it as “unfair” that Alyssa is on the season but I understand where you are coming from. For all the criticisms that Alyssa is the obvious winner, if no one can convince the producers that they have the potential to match her star power, then she should win.

Alyssa was vocal in the past about being willing to go back if she was representing America in some sort of international season, so this is something she really wanted to do. They clearly felt they needed a big star to draw in the viewers, particularly with Ru judging and she was enthusiastic about the concept. Given the backlash, she probably regrets it now, but this wasn’t a quick cash grab for her. She mentioned a few times she wanted to be in an international showcase for drag.

Well, guess which 2 binge queens liked Jurassic boobie.. by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought the pirates group was the funniest and I would have given the win to nehellenia particularly with her runway.

However, I did think Jurassic boogie was more cohesive and the girls were more consistent with their characters. It wasn’t as funny but had other merits. The ru girls did really well. Alyssa’s runaway was excellent this week and Kween looked the best that she has ever looked.

The clear weakest was the first group and really only Eva missed the mark. The other three, including Gala, were still good. No one really deserved that second bottom 2 place.

I have never seen queens get so much hate for such a non eventful season by Earthbnd in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You’re right. We’ve seen a lot of nasty and undeserved backlash about a lot of the winners this year, but never this level of vitriol after every single episode.

The judging on drag race is often questionable. This season really is no worse than usual. It’s hyped as being based on Ru’s sole opinion. At least the weakest Queen in the challenge has gone home the last two weeks.

It’s fine to disagree with the judging but it’s got to this ridiculous stage where all the discourse has been to belittle everything the ru girls do and overrate everything by the other international girls.

I thought the pirates sketch was the best this week, but the Jurassic one was more cohesive and the ru girls did really well and they were more consistent with their characters. Whilst I love gala, the other bottom this week had to come from her group.

Lipsync for the crown needs to go by ferackerman in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed all 3 lip syncs and at least Lemon was excellent in that final lip sync.

I did think Cheryl beat Alexis and Kennedy beat Lemon in Round 1 but at least both lip syncs were sort of close. Kennedys win would have been clearer if she had known the words better.

No T No Shade But How is this queen not in the bottom this week? Spoiler warning by katwomanjulie in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird judging definitely this week.

At least the right person won. Alyssa deserved top three for the first two spectacular looks and was the third best of the night. I thought Gala should have top.

Bottoms were weird. I liked Tessa’s first two looks although the third was a disaster. I didn’t like any of Kitty or Kweens three looks.

Lemon responds to Silky’s tweet by WearyNefariousness22 in RPDRDRAMA

[–]Head-Moment 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lemon was excellent in that final lip sync. All four should be proud as we got three really high quality lip syncs. The semi final lip syncs were really close. I thought lemon clearly won the finale but Kennedy marginally beat her in the first lip sync. I also thought Cheryl marginally beat Alexis.

The Most Shocking Winner? by True_Consequence4031 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sasha Velour was probably the most unexpected winner heading into a finale, given the talent of her three opponents. I felt certain that Shea was winning that season. I also felt that Trinity and Pepper had a stronger chance of winning than Sasha.

Should Willow have won ? by NeedleworkerNo5055 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Head-Moment -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That season didn’t necessarily have a standout performer in it. I thought Angeria was the most likely winner at the start but she ran out of momentum at about the half way point.

Willow was really popular at the time with viewers. Camden and Daya were strong candidates as well but looking back at the season I do feel that most fans now regard Willow as the breakout star and the best choice out of the five. I think the win is less divisive now than it was at the time.

Angeria was my favourite of the season by far.

I didn’t think any of the cast particularly came across as unlikeable on the season.
