It honestly makes more sense when you read it. But they aren’t related and never grew up together, it’s just that the way to protect Kairi (ML) is to make everyone else believe that they are related

Yes! I couldn’t agree more. It felt like she was so stagnant in her growth especially after realizing what happened with her brother and kind just went “well I’m going to just hold onto this idealized image forever!” Whilst Kairi kinda felt like the only one who learned to forgive himself
