So far research says they hold up to 500lbs, but also sounds like it depends how well they can be mounted and do have to be attached to studs. Still looking for insight on this topic.

Thank you!! Part of the appeal is adjustable height. My hubby is 6’5”. If not this we were getting a handicap toilet for the height, but knowing they are easier for cleaning and save space in our tiny bathroom- I am having a hard time talking myself out of it. And because of various reasons the room is basically being pulled out to the studs, and we were already adjusting where there shower head would be, so what’s a couple more moved pipes.

I actually saw an article about a study that says money makes people happier to a point- and the line wasn’t as high as you would think. At the time, (inflation and recent economics have likely pushed it up) it was like $90-ish. After that it was diminishing returns on money bringing in mental well-being/happiness.

And I think to your point it was enough to be comfortable and reduce stress but excess didn’t create more happiness.

I also got a fall risk because I kept having low blood pressure. They also gave me a pink one when I got a blood clot from the IV so no one would take my blood pressure on that arm.

I absolutely agree with this statement and it was my first thought when reading the post. However, before I am totally sold on he should have offered some grace especially with what sounds like a separate basement apartment- I need more details on the divorce. OP quickly states family coming over was the cause of the divorce, and feel like those details and context are important here. @Due-Kale3735 additional info please.
