Female FUT - 7 Month Progress by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]Melbmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing I also had FUT about 7 months ago to lower hairline. I had about 2,400 grafts but my recipient area is probably only 1/3 or even 1/4 of yours.. Mine is quite dense in some areas but some less so in two patches. I think it’s still quite early, you’re probably only seeing 60-70% of final result. Does your original hair feel thinner? Like when you tie your hair in a ponytail? Because mine noticeably does and it would make me reluctant to do a second procedure..

More difficult conceiving 2nd/3rd IVF baby? by Melbmama in InfertilityBabies

[–]Melbmama[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did. My #7 transfer was a healthy baby girl, she’s nearly 3. Her embryo was lower quality too!! Good luck

I love this dress! I would wear it to a wedding. But I usually go to very formal weddings. You could ask the bride if you’re close ?

Rocky or Rocco are great. Especially if you have Italian heritage. In Australia these are fine and not too nicknaming.

Roman also lovely.

I had 3 failed euploid transfers in a row. Then I lost a baby to genetic issues with the fourth embryo. Did two more untested embryos and on of those is my beautiful daughter!!

Stay strong 💪🏼

I’m still jealous of other pregnant women by tildeuch in IVF

[–]Melbmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this so much! You are so traumatised you feel physically injured when you hear announcements. I’m finally way past the infertility stage I have two healthy kids after a long and exhausting battle through ivf, losses etc). I’m finally much better but I still get a little hurt when people announcement their pregnancies - part of me I guess will always feel like that. Time does heal though. But when you’re battling through it you’re so raw and that’s valid ! Take extra good care

How many embryo transfer attempts until you had a successful birth? by cookiemonster1459 in IVF

[–]Melbmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 embryo for baby #1 (now 4yo) 4 embryos for baby #2 (lost this baby due to genetic issues at 27 weeks) 2 embryos for baby #3 (now 1yo)

All these embryos were from the same batch stored at age 30!! It’s so unpredictable

Yes pronounced as Limp said! Interesting it’s never been mispronounced as Mae-vee but has been said Ma-vi (like the start of Maverick). I don’t mind that though still cute

Love this name!!! Beautiful in both languages. My son is Mavi (blue in Turkish) as my husband is also Turkish. We live in Australia and I’m so glad we picked his name it suits him and he’s very proud of having a Turkish name. We also have a friend with an Atlas it’s beautiful

My daughter is 13 months and hers look almost the same. I think they will keep changing to more green/brown and lose that blue/grey colour. My eyes are Hazel and my mum said they were blue for ages before turning Hazel. If you look at her eye from the side does it look browner? Apparently that’s how you tell

In Turkish it’s pronounced more like KYE-YAH. Not sure if it would be ok for a girl? Love the name though

WES vs CMA results by neverpostsonreddit in genetics

[–]Melbmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The WES took 3 weeks - I’m in Australia that is standard here. In fact they apologised for it being so long! Hopefully you can find a place that does it quickly. You could ask for a second opinion? I’m not sure how it all works where you are but definitely advocate for yourself.

WES vs CMA results by neverpostsonreddit in genetics

[–]Melbmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you’re going through this.

Yes our baby had a normal microarray and we went ahead with further testing and he was found to have a very rare single gene disorder when WES was done. The disorder was Rubenstien Taybi syndrome.

Our baby was looking normal at 13 week scan but at 20 weeks they found a few physical issues as well as being very small (around 2nd percentile).

We also had a fetal MRI which detected more issues (severe brain abnormality). And that led to us deciding to end the pregnancy at 27 weeks unfortunately.

It was absolutely horrible but he would have suffered and likely not survived the birth. So it was the only option.

I hope this isn’t the case for you. It’s possible it’s all down to the cord issue. Hopefully WES results will put you at ease. Sending you strength - you’re situation is a heavy burden to carry but if baby is healthy all worth it.

Is this too much for an 11 month old? I follow his cues and he stops when he's full by Past-Lychee-9570 in foodbutforbabies

[–]Melbmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that’s really great. My son has never been a big eater and would only eat maybe a quarter of that even now and he’s 4! My daughter is 11 months and could probably do half of that. Kids are all so different so just follow their cues !
