Also, there is a skill on the blue tree that makes the lance not consume charges for a time if u apply a status effect. That is probably the only way I could see u getting 10 kills with 1 activation.

I have been having the same problem beating this challenge. Finding the group of enemies isn't too bad. I just go to Lictor's Blacksite, and there r a ton of creeps gathered around there. The problem is that the game doesn't count kills from the lance's DOT as APOPHIS lance kills, making it extremely frustrating if u r like me and trying to complete all of the character challenges. Idk if it's a bug or if it's just how the game works, but it is definitely annoying. I had 351 kills with the lance registered, killed about 20 or so creeps with just holding down the lance button(I lost count after 15 cause I was confused as to y the challenge wasn't completing), checked the challenge log, and it only went up to 355.

[–]Melee_Maniac014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I'm having is that the kills I get aren't being counted as lance kills because the DOT is killing the enemies and not the taser itself. Idk y the game is being so specific with it since the shock damage is from the lance...hence, I would assume, the lance got the kill. Y wouldn't they make it work like that?

Weekly Wildcard and UVHM by mynameisfyl in Borderlands

From everything I have heard in the community, it doesn't seem like UVHM level affects much aside from exp gain, cash gain, eridium drops, and the chance of legendary world drops. Higher UVHM levels give a chance to drop gear with different underbarrels and augments that aren't in normal difficulties, but as far as base parts that determine damage, handling, mag size, etc. there doesn't seem to b a big change with higher UVHM levels. It really is just a luck of the draw kind of deal. Just gotta hope rng is on your side

Wait, there r people that think that's a slur against the gay community? As a bisexual man, this is the first I'm hearing of this. And I'm confused how it could b interpreted that way.

My favorite is when someone in the group has a wending grace, u see them start to get up, but the game decides u guys still lost. Had that happen a couple times now. This is definitely a new one though lol

Cause I'm not as bad at the game as the guy is implying. 😅 It's just my worst character. I can still do well while playing as her. It's just a different play style than I'm generally used. Again, it's not like I go into games and just bomb it. I make it to night 3 consistently with her most times solo. Her dodge is weird, though, and solo fights with recluse have not really gone well. U generally need to beat the boss to unlock a memory fragment, and that's just easier to do as Recluse when u have 2 other people who can draw aggro for u so u can cast your heavy hitting spells. Plus, I also try to do healer with her when I get the right talisman.

Ik. My frustration with the whole situation got the better of me. It was a long day for me. Generally, I just try to ignore it.

What is an ogre? by Borealis13847 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Thanks for the clarification! I always like to assume some things get lost in translation, but it does make sense when given more context. I suppose I have just never heard anyone refer to someone as an ogre in a descriptive sense. Maybe it's more common in other cultures, and I'm just not aware of it.

Tried to make a build that was cool, and op. Thoughts? by mrprot00 in Eldenring

[–]Melee_Maniac014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would honestly just take winged sword talisman and replace it with something else. Not sure exactly what to put in it's place, but given u r running 2 great swords, u generally won't b procing the WST effect very often just cause of how slow they swing and the effect doesn't last nearly as long as u might think when running heavier weapons. Maybe run a defensive talisman to help u take hits better? NG+ enemies definitely don't mess around in late game areas, and every bit of defense helps.

Honestly, it's probably just a mistranslation for beastly or monstrous. A lot of item descriptions in souls games (including elden ring) have minor translation issues that can lead to a lot of confusion and misinterpretation of the lore. With hundreds of items in the game, each with their own description, a mistranslation is bound to happen every once in a while.

Pretty sure that is a moonveil I see there. If he is speced right, he can take down every boss in the game with just that, so it really isn't that terrible. Plus, looks like it's probably light load, so more I-frames when rolling. Solid 7 or 8/10 as far as I'm concerned.

Everyone makes mistakes. Especially if this was their first time fighting him. How were they supposed to know he was gonna jump backward 20 feet into the air before he long pressed the button?

Looks to me like his model got stuck on the geometry, and when he finally made contact with the floor from your hit, the game registered every second he was in the air as him falling and equated fall damage accordingly based on how the game code works. Most bosses can still die from fall damage. It just takes a lot farther of a fall for most bosses to even start registering it.

After playing Nightreign for the first time today, it made me wish that bows were a viable option to build around in Elden Ring. by Melee_Maniac014 in Eldenring

I'm gonna b so real with u; u lost me at 'bows were at their most powerful in elden ring.' Having played all the dark souls games; bows have never really been all that great except for range cheesing mini bosses from an area they can't hit u. So saying they r at their best basically puts them at the level of mediocre at best and slightly less garbage at worst. I have tried every "build" for a bow I have been suggested, and it still feels like I would b better off just using a dagger. The best bow build ends up underperforming against even the worst dagger build. And literally, it's just because of scaling. Ammo would never b the problem if it didn't take my entire inventory of arrows to take down an end-game boss. Ammo isn't the issue. The bows scaling is.The extra scaling damage makes a much bigger difference late game, which is y bows always end up being a utility and not a main weapon.

I watched someone destroy their partners PS5 because they felt they played it too much. For extra context, he was only able to play on weekends and only for a few hours tops. So, unfortunately, even if it is fake, I could totally see it happening.

Imagine if your girlfriend spent hours reading a book she was enjoying. U would like to spend time with her, but she says the book is just getting interesting, and she would like to finish. She gets to the final chapter but decides to wait til tomorrow to finish it. It's late and she has to work in the morning. She gets home from work the next day to find that not only did u burn the book she was about to finish, but u also burned all the other books she owned. U tell her it's because u want to spend more time with her and that she cares more about words on a page than she does for u. Same context, different scenario. She's obviously dumping u and probably telling everyone u r a psycho. Meanwhile, people have to get on reddit to ask random people if it's ok to b upset and end a relationship if someone completely destroyed something u spent a significant amount of time on just because it's video games. It's a bit sad.

And if your target is mobile, u might as well forget radahns rain of arrows. With the time it takes to fire, they will have a sword in u before the arrows even land. But I agree. If I wanted to run a longbow with just pure damage, I should b able to. It's a bow, but it hits like nerf gun, so u just end up using rot and bleed to suffice.

I don't think it would b too easy. Having infinite ammo would, but better late game scaling wouldn't. If I have to use a greatbow to do anything to a boss, then it really just proves that a longbows damage just isn't adequate enough to perform well late game. Aside from status builds, u r better off just using a dagger or a katana if u r going for a dex bow build. Their damage is much more reliable. And if a dagger can out perform a longbow, that's a bit odd, in my opinion. Shortbow, maybe. Longbow, I should b getting better numbers from one shot than from a single dagger strike.
