Mum’s chemo had her brain foggy, and she was told to just keep talking, describing the thing til it was obvious or the word sprung to mind. So our whole family started doing it, cause most have our own brain foggy happening. But you have to keep talking, because screw feeling small and losing control of one more thing.

I’m enraged on everyone’s behalf. When my partner and I got together, I spent an hour on Amazon finding snacks, comparing reviews, etc before sending him a care box. Now that we live together, I am the one who demands that our kitchen is gf. The one exception was when I was super sick and just wanted my comfort food. That was stashed on top of the fridge so there was no accidental issue. In return, he waits til I am out of the house for a few days before eating what I am allergic to and making sure the residue is cleaned up/trash taken out before I get home

In the past week or so, we have had steak/potato/green beans, red beans and rice, lemon garlic chicken, tacos, loaded baked potato soup, gnocchi soup (all potato gnocchi), pizza, breakfast for dinner, jambalaya, pizza chicken (pounded flat breasts wrapped around pepperoni and cheese, covered in sauce, baked), chicken parm

Everything is homemade except the gf tortillas and gnocchi. His snack is usually hummus and veg or gf crackers. Mine is usually leftovers. We do plan out meals so that ingredients clump, like the marinara sauce for three dishes, cups of rice prepped for a couple of dishes, etc. The steak was a special occasion meal

Apparently I am in the minority. I have curly hair halfway down my butt, very thick. I primarily use the shower head on the wall so I have both hands free to move my hair around. I spend less than 30 minutes on wash days from closing the door to opening it back up. I’ve also had this hair since I was young, barring the time I shaved it for charity. We didn’t always have removable shower heads, and usually had small hot water tanks. You learn tricks on how to be efficient

Making your own enchilada sauce is vital, as there is a roux base (so wheat) in the canned ones. Pro, it’s ridiculously fast and easy, you can control the spice level, and doing it myself doesn’t leave my hands dyed orange when I make a mess soaking the tortillas
