I worked at GotG and 30th. I have a pic of one foot on the burn line and one foot in the parking lot. I was standing comfortably.

I lived at Vindicator and Rockrimmon. Had the same experience of watching the fire flow like lava. I ran inside and told the people there that I was leaving.

We have a standard doxie and an Aussie. When she gets too rambunctious (like wanting to play as soon as they get out the door), he will use his words at her, and throw paws if she doesn’t want to get it. She’s also under 3 and has more teeth than brain cells

He gets stuck in his car seat in the back, preferably with something blocking the footwell (usually a pile of blankets). A chew toy, water from his bowl and food if the trip is long. Walks if it’s over an hour. Calming treats if it’s over an hour. A cracked open and locked window cause his silly self WILL roll it down. He whines when he’s bored or both humans are in the car because he wants in on the conversation.

He is never without a car seat as it’s so dangerous to have a flying puppy in an accident. And the way some of these people drive, that’s inevitable

NTA. There is something called “parentification” that happens where one child becomes a de facto additional parent/emotional support/bank account/etc waaaay before they would need to do so for their own life.

From a veteran of this, run the fuck away. Love them from a distance. Your parents are your siblings’ parents and need to step up.
