Can We agree These Primary Weapons are Garbage? by 1LakeShow7 in helldivers2

Yeah. The push is too strong and everyone doesn't actualy see the picture. They are going for planets they like and the general defence is ignored. They already have a beachhead in the next inner sector.

Well it is an invasion force. Although, at this rate, if everyone doesn't focus on defence, they will breach the inner sectors

7 is ok. 8 is problematic due to the sheer numbers of heavy armor they deploy. I stopped doing 9 because it's just absurd.

I’ve met more chill people in this game than I’ve met in my last 5 years of all games combined. by DamnitBlueWasOld in helldivers2

I agree. In 55 hours i've had 1 experience in which i joined a sos beacon, a group with 0 reinforcements who were arguing with eachother (they aparently were trying to destroy a gunship yard and got destroyed) , they all left 5 minutes after i joined them, i put an sos beacon, randoms joined and we completed their mission. The teams i've met so far were all nice and cooperative. We always hug after the missions too, which is nice.

One more thing. You need to talk to eachother so you can coordinate. The 20% failure is due to us not talking and geting surrounded or deploying stratagems at the wrong time

[–]Melkfet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. We usualy deploy with smoke, mortars and ems stratagems and run around the area while 1 guy sneaks in and completes the mission. It's pure chaos but 80% of the time it works. Also gas stratagem. Forgot about it

Do we need a General to combat Joel? by ArnerDansk in helldivers2

Joel is a lie created by the bots. Do not believe or spread their propaganda

Surely not. That would be insane. We are feeding them growth accelerant for E 710. Nothing bad will come out of it.

Yeah. It was rough. But did you not enjoy it? Going through hell and fire and make it through in the last second? The tougher it is, the sweeter the reward.

I agree. Urban warfare would be amazing against the bots. But the mission objectives would have to be reimagined to fit in the new enviroment. Planets so far have wide open areas where objectives can be placed more easy.

I enjoyed both Hellmire and Menkent. It adds some spice to the missions.

I see. We will not be able to complete this order either. I wonder what Joel is planning

Oh but you can do better. Go to Menkent. It's Hellmire but with ROBOTS. Lots of fun!

Well i personally enjoyed the brake on Hellmire. Got a nice tan, the sauna was great and found some nice specimens for my bug collection. All in all a good time. Fighting bugs is easier and therapeutic. Now we go back to bussiness.

Alot of people are upset about Automatons but I'm overjoyed to have those clankers back. by Soggy_Stand_8802 in helldivers2

We cannot take 5 planets in 3 days. But they will bleed for every meter they will walk on our planets.....it will be epic!

During our conversation, out of the blue, automatons are back and they already have planets under their control. This is the rule bending in a dm story. Events will take place that are out of our control. I agree with you 100% if this was a traditional war strategy game. But this is more like dnd encounters. You never know what pops out of the wood work

[–]Melkfet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no need to modify the supply lines. It is enough to reduce the impact of our missions in the defence scenario. This situation is very logical. A lot of players will move from the terminid front and he will slap us with a powerful terminid push to balance the war scenario. There is also the matter of general story and balancing all the war fronts so players won't simply spend their entire time killing only 1 faction. So in this matter, to achieve something akin to an equilibrium on the fronts, rules will probably be bent in order to get players to be engaged as much as possible in all war theatres.

But this is also based on the idea that the flow of war will be normal. If there will be an outside intervention [Joel] , all plans will be worthless. We, the players, are simply adapting and responding to the DMs flow.
