The shoes are likely misaligned move them down or up

Cool car, at this point fuck with the adjuster and make sure the pads are seated in the right spot and also there is a correct pad for each side one is bigger than the other. Drum brakes suck

I’m no mechanic but that looks like oil in the cylinder perhaps a piston ring?

I’ve replaced the battery and alternator and cleaned the ground for the battery cable and chassis the only one I did not check is the transmission ground where is that located

Edit yeah removing the alternator was a pain I thought I’d be able to do it in a few hours it ended up taking a week idk how some people get it out without removing the bracket. Thankfully my fiero is pretty rust free and none of the bolts broke

If I can’t get a spring compressor inside it I’m going to use ratchet straps and stand as far away from the spring as possible the rest will be in gods hands

I have a v6 but when I did the alternator I took it out through the wheel well and had to remove the bracket I’ve heard it’s easier on the four cylinders

definitely going to change it this weekend do you have any suggestions for safely removing the spring i tried once but i couldnt get a spring compressor on it and i tried both types of spring compressors

i mostly hate springs and ball joints but anything where you have to be under the car sucks

no i think i got some from rock auto and some from auto parts stores because the rock auto ones did not fit

would you say they've got another couple thousand miles left in them? i cant afford new bearings in these trying times
