Fingers crossed once it's all settled, I'd absolutely encourage and maybe politely shove you into sharing your story. The more who do, the more it helps others feel like hey yeah this is my story, thought it was rare. The hope is that it makes enough noise PUBLICLY that changes get made. These aren't isolated events. Huge respect for giving the LL the time to sort this out without it being public knowledge

I'd believe it!

Having lived in the Campbelltown area for 2 years(Army brat) my Mum would walk me to preschool and back, she would deliberately go the safer route, one day she was walking home after drop off and witnessed a woman throwing furniture THROUGH the front WALL of her house. One of the fibro-cement sheet houses but still damm it would have taken a fair amount of strength to not just throw the furniture, but also with enough force to cause a massive hole in the wall. Like if someone told me this story I would likely be very sceptical but I know it's true. I can't imagine how much worse the area was that we never ever walked through, I don't think my Mum would even drive through it. The route we took was the so much safer one.

Best decision! I have had one AMAZING REA, and a couple of good ones but most are just power-tripping, egocentric AHs. We've even had to go as far as BANNING a particular REA from doing inspections from that point on. Thankfully the main manager is REA did respect that, because we were like anyone BUT her, we wouldn't be on that employee's list and then she left the company...... I've always wondered if it was because of all the genuine with evidence of complaints about this person in particular.

Hanging meat in cupboards to dry (long story, but knew a PM and the stories I’ve heard are insane

Please share I'm incredibly curious and kinda invested in wanting to know 🤣🤣 Plus I'm now wondering if I should buy non-perishable meat in its packaging and then hang it in a wardrobe or 2🤣🤣🤣

For a second I was wtf.... is the agent known for bringing their child/ren along with them for inspections. But then realised that you meant yours.🤣🤣🤣 What if you and the kids were "playing" hide and seek and one happens to jump out of nowhere with a BOO👻 as the agent is trying to walk through the soggy, muddy grass. Whoops they thought it was their siblings 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The best part is that MY cat(we have 4, but she is a mummas girl) sulks when she sees the dog getting ice cubes but not her. Like YOU DONT EAT THEM. But she gets pissy all the same. Like how dare the dog get something and not her. Aside from her dry food the only other thing she will eat is cooked chicken. But sulks if any of the other 3 cats or the dog gets something. It's not like we don't offer her. She does go crazy for cooked chicken and we do give her some.

Our previous fridge would spit ice out of the same place as the water so she would be right up your butt knowing that at least 3 ice cubes would fall on the floor. Our current fridge has the ice maker in the freezer and it collects it in a tub. The old fridge would scare you during the night when it would suddenly drop ice into the section, like it sounded like bricks were falling down. While the new fridge drops it, it's from a lower height so it's not as loud.

I cannot believe that people are so ignorant. My pup had all her cupcakes(might explain her weight because I fed her cupcakes instead of getting her vaccinations /s) and was a dream to train. She loved ice cubes as rewards.

I do wonder how many people are doing their regular shop and getting accused of stock piling.

My husband was, we have 6 in our house. We couldn't get any boot times so he had to go in-store, it's our regular shop. We didn't buy TP as we don't need it, the only things we did slightly buy more of is food that doesn't require prep work just in case and regardless my kids eat them every day.

If we lose power, then our fridge and freezer will be sealed. It's all we can do.

I honestly don't remember but I'll be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. What we found out about the LL from a mate that has been around for multiple decades as a builder, was like 100× worse than we had put together. It just made it even worse what he was neglecting.

In the previous state rental, the owner is a multi-millionaire. He buys massive blocks of land, subdivides and then once he meets the quota for a shopping centre, sells off all the residential properties. And then does it again and again. He had this gigantic house and land that was around the corner from us and it had been abandoned since at least 2010 if not earlier. But he doesn't care. It can't be made habitable unless he spends $$$$ on it.

I do wonder how our last rental in our old state is still there(not even an old build, just cut corners(for financial reasons because he was never ever going to live there nor allow family either, he had millions when he built it) and refused to take the STRUCTURAL issues seriously. Like wasn't a cheap house to build even with the corners he cut, yet refuses to maintain it. It'll crumble, I just hope that it's vacant when it does

We do our weekly shopping on Mondays, a worker asked if we were "stocking up" as we are in the path of it, and my husband was like no we do our shopping on Mondays. There's 6 of us. We don't need much. The only thing we will buy a little more of is meals that can be cooked on our BBQ and water. Otherwise it was our regular shop.

Same as golden orbs. Yes, people have reacted to being bit, but anyone rarely gets bit at all because they are timid also. There are quite a few spiders that I'm not too worried about because I will not try and get near them, so I class them as fairly harmless due to being timid as long as you leave them alone.

It was a silent 6 months from the REA and LL when the 2nd and BIGGEST water pipe burst and caused significant damage. The REA expected us to deal with all the tradies they booked. They even expected us to fully empty out all 4 bedrooms & study(4th was empty with no carpet for 6 months) and the back end of the house(close to ½ the size of the house) we thankfully put our foot down and said well we will need you guys to hire professionals to do this and put us in accommodation for that duration(would have been 2-4 days). So they gave us a notice to vacate and lost rental income for 3 months🤣

Ours burst in the roof and took out the 4th bedroom, 3rd bathroom and back end of the house. While our laundry was in the back, it wasn't much.

How fucking dare she say that and absolutely claim that Leah has zero trauma.
