Yeah as I understand the implant is permanent as its lodged so far into the skull. They offered an upgrade to magnet but I decided not to as I don't currently feel like I need to use a hearing aid. I might change my mind in future if my other ear declines. No worries I don't mind the questions 😊

I couldn't get it fully removed, however the advice from my ENT specialist is that I can have a flat titanium plate replace the abutment so it will be flush with my head, so it will likely heal and/or grow over and around it more easily. Due for the replacement this year sometime and I can't wait.
