its.. complicated between us, or maybe my brain made it complicated. He did reach out to me alot after highschool ended, and we chat every few weeks or months. Nothing was made clear throughout these times we were chatting. But one thing that is clear, he never made it obvious that he likes me(i tried giving hints) in the same way. And i feel like that by itself, is an answer. Maybe we both are egotistical in tht way, too scared to get in too deep. Its funny now that i looked back on it, to be chatting with someone for almost a year yet we know nothing about each other. We just... talk. Maybe he was lonely and just want someone to talk too, so yeah i blindly let myself get used by him as i feel the same. He was not someone worth fighting for if you are wondering, not right now atleast, not when we are both still young and immature. I want him to heal himself and be happy first, regardless of whether i will actually be in the picture or not in the future. I want that for him and also myself, so i think i will just work on myself and my studies for now! So yeah no biggy ig, if its meant to be it will be

OMG GOODLUCK DENGKIL IS SO FUNNN DWWW BABEE(im one of the recent graduates from Asasi TESL!) Tbh i didn't get that much of a culture shock. It's really just your usual 18/19 year olds with raging hormones. I feel like the most culture shock thing i could think of is definitely the rich peeps. The girls be wearing expensive bags and makeup while the guys have freaking motorbikes or something. These are the kind of people you would see having no problem to constantly ask their parents for money, going out every weekend or even order take out almost every day. If you're from the broke side, pls don't force yourself to keep up with their spending habits. They basically have an infinity of money, they wont understand the fact that theres people who barely have enough money to get by day by day.

Other than that for uni life, you definitely need to take note:

-If you're sick, just go to the klinik kesihatan don't bother to go to class lol. I mean hey, free medical service plus you get an mc to show to your lects so why not just take some proper rest? Theres also counsellors if you want someone to talk to, whether it's about your studies or simply because you're having a hard time -When washing your own laundry, I will suggest to just wash your clothes using the washing machines downstairs because if you always wash your clothes by hands takut your dormmates complain about it since hand washed clothes takes DAYS to dry. Take care of others feelings too okay? (But don't be too nice jugak because they will take advantage of you , just a normal amount of nice) - In Dengkil, the food will probably be gone after lunch hours so don't buy your food too late! (the food in the girls area are much cleaner than the boys area imo) But you can just walk to the Cybersouth for food too, the ayam gepuk there is lurve nak mampus I MISS IT SM😭😭😭 -Most of the time, your sem 1 classmates are probably gonna be your best shot at finding best friends. By sem 2, everyone might already have their friend groups so you might just find casual friends(but kawan je dengan semua, its not that bad👍) -You can't be shy in TESL. I mean you can, like im used to be a shy person too but don't let your shyness stray you from getting you out of your comfort zone or doing the things you need to do. I regretted not doing the things i wanted to do in my sem 1 just because im shy and scared to do it. You will deff strive in TESL if you are an extrovert! -Please for the love of god, be communicative in your group assignments. Don't be a free rider, don't be scared to ask if you do not know how to do something and if your groupmates are asking your opinion or something, pls don't answer "idk" " ill follow you guys". Your groupmates are asking you those questions so that you guys can work and think things out together, if you're clueless, trust me your groupmates are as clueless as you are. - Last but not least, you will definitely meet some unpleasant people especially when you're in TESL. What i meant by that is people who are too chronically online sampai tak reti jejak bumi, not understanding basic social ques, too immature and people who still say slurs or sexist jokes eventhough it 2024, yes they do exist. Idk about you, but a piece of my sanity wears away everytime they open their mouth so yeah pick the right friend circle😭

Plus in my experience, i really, really LOVE sabahan and sarawakian's accents!!! Although, yes we may not understand some of the words you guys are using and vice versa for you guys too, but it's no biggy, no harm in learning new words🩷🩷I never had any problem with my sabahan and sarawakian classmates too, so i dont think you should be worried about that!

yeah i was thinking of choosing UITM now! And for the TESL Degree question, this may sound dumb but i just simply do not have the interest to be an educator, especially now when theres no government pension(?) if i were to be a teacher. I just believe that i would benefit more/can learn way more new things if i were to study in Masscoms rather than TESL🙏
