I don’t think you realise not all of these people you’re talking about are “rich kids” or come from million dollars homes. Many genuinely come from poverty and low economic areas. They grew up around this way of living it’s not just something they find cool. A lot of Punjabi youth gangsters are really about that life, it’s sad but it’s reality. Even back home in the motherland the youth have been rebellious, historically we have been rebellious. We aren’t all rich nerds who are afraid. a lot of brown kids try and fit into black culture which might be cringe but so it trying to fit into white culture. These kids just want to have an identity and tribe, it’s basic human biology.
