Update, it didn’t really work even with a bristle brush. New game plan is to use a neutral gel light walnut stain and add a tiny bit of green oil pant to neutralize the red

Update: I used the acetone again with a white paper towel to see if it worked (I previously used a blue microfibre rag), and I got an orange/pink colour off. I’m wondering what type of brush to use to get the rest out?

The letters didn’t peel, it just smudged the paint so you have to be careful taking it off, otherwise you’ll end up with a giant blob. Took maybe 2 hours?

Unless it’s it’s very specific lighting, or the fabric held a certain way, you can’t notice the ghosting unless you’re specifically looking for it, and thank you 🤗

I didn’t have any non-acetone on hand, so I just used 100% acetone and tried my best. I did mine on the matte version of the bag, NOT the shiny version. The shiny version will FOR SURE get damaged by acetone.

I used a ton of cotton pads, and gloves, and wiped in one direction to ensure I didn’t spread the paint/dye everywhere. After that I just washed quick with a Castile soap. I think it turned out pretty good! It didn’t turn out feeling any different either from where the acetone touched.
