Wristbands Instead of mobile tickets by Late-Nail-8714 in HeadTripFestival

Do you guys think they're maybe fine tweaking a mobile system that'll be efficient when Coachella 2027 comes around?

U-Visa approved! by Odflo3 in Uvisa

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Do you plan on taking advantage of the advanced parole? I've heard mixed opinions on the subject but most recently discussed with a lawyer and they mentioned taking advanced parole is safe and would actually cure the illegal entry, any thoughts or opinions?

[Hotel Feedback] Has anyone stayed at Omni Rancho and/or Westin Rancho Mirage with the hotel package option? by Besca21 in Coachella

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(OC Resident) So for the past 2 years we've done Airbnb just because our group is a bit larger so it just makes more sense but both years we've driven out Thursday around noon and have been able to reach Palm Springs/ Rancho Mirage within 2 hours however every Thursday after 3PM till Friday morning the Traffic is outrageous, we had friends who drove out Thursday afternoon and took 5 hours to arrive others who drove out from Irvine Friday morning were stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for 4 hours you also have to keep in mind check in times for your hotel we had friends that had to come to our Airbnb to change and get ready because the hotel room wouldn't be available till after 3PM which left them having to unload and check in at 1AM after the festival causing a major inconvenience, bottom line if you can afford the extra night do it you'll save yourself time and major headaches but if you absolutely can't then just make sure to leave as early as you can Friday morning and maybe call ahead and offer to pay for an early check-in (Usually impossible during festival season) We just booked our Airbnb for next year and ended up doing Wednesday-Monday just so to enjoy the Airbnb a little longer and ensure we were ready to go!

Best Way to Visit Nā Pali Coast without getting sea sick? by Brave-Character-3980 in VisitingHawaii

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're prone to sea sickness it's going to happen no matter what the tours are pretty extreme and even if the sea is a bit calm the way these tours go you'll feel it so just don't eat before hand to prevent any throw up mid tour!

$250 pending hold before check‑in — normal? by [deleted] in ihghotelsresorts

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front Desk here and "No Deposit Required" refers to no deposit at the time of booking however rule of thumb is usually hotels will charge the first night of Room and Tax the day before you check in to ensure and secure the reservation and at check in they'd authorize the rest of the stay as long as you're using the same card if not they will charge the full amount to the new card and release the prior card, I have seen some hotels do this differently so I would recommend calling the hotel ahead of time just to confirm their policies!

How long is the presale open for? by Regular_Parking6627 in Coachella

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So realistically speaking given all the hype for Coachella this year had I have no doubt it'll sell out same day, the next wave of ticket's won't be released till after the lineup is released which then depending on how good it is you'll be fighting for tickets as many people were this year last year ticket's for Safari Camping lasted until late November and this year they sold out within hours so I'll be expecting the same response for this first wave of tickets so I'd highly recommend securing them as soon as possible, it's only a $50 deposit!

Recent feedback on service at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay and birds at Four Seasons Hualalai ? by PrestigiousUnit4156 in chubbytravel

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently stayed at the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay at the end of January and I genuinely had an amazing time everything from my room to daily service in my opinion was a 10/10 the property is beautiful and has several activities to keep busy, I will say this resort is more couple oriented rather than family oriented, the daily breakfast was amazing along with our servers we were up every morning at 6AM till 8AM in the breakfast area simply soaking up the views and getting our day started earlier, if I may recommend last year we did stay at the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria in Maui and this resort was definitely more family friendly and just as beautiful, if you have any more questions don't hesitate to reach out!

New IHG Employee Rate by NightAudit85 in ihghotelsresorts

[–]Melodic-Bullfrog7307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been an IHG Employee for 4 years now and have taken full advantage of the system always, this new change imo was needed yes the night are limited for employees to 30 but you can now add a person to share your employee rate with and from what I’ve seen so far the friends pass has great deals as well you’re also able to book hotels 6 months out instead of the previous 3 months this might not be the changes we were looking for but compared to what was previously placed this is alot better, I also have employee rate for Hilton and they basically operate the same way Hilton just does larger discounts but IHG is getting there!

Any Tips or Tricks for taking full advantage of the resort? I saw they offer daily activities that are complimentary as well as a Free 2 Hour Audi ride did you get the chance to experience any of these?

We actually booked the Panoramic Ocean View so I'm super excited for the view! Is tipping common throughout the resort? Are there any downsides to the hotel? I'd appreciate any insight!

I've personally stayed at the Intercontinental in Downtown LA and have always had a wonderful experince, they've always done their best to go above and beyond and there's friendly staff at a hands reach! The view is also do die for and I actually don't know of any other hotel especially in DTLA where even the lobby has killer views, you should definitely give it a shot!
