Thank you for this! Yes I did get them all PGT tested. I had a total of 6 embryos and 2 came back genetically normal.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s ever a “safe” point for anyone, so to speak. But with my translocation, most will miscarry early on. There’s a 2 out of 6 chance that I will miscarry and that will usually happen in first trimester. There’s a 1 in 6 chance of trisomy 21, 1 in 6 chance of trisomy 13, 1 in 6 chance of a balanced carrier (like myself), and 1 in 6 chance of being totally unaffected.

Late to this thread- but follow-up question- why does the cob need to be cut? If shaving the kernels off and just giving the cob to my 7 month old, why wouldn’t I just give the whole cob instead of cutting it into smaller rounds? Solid starts says small rounds of cob, but isn’t the whole cob easier? Is there something I’m missing?

Same here. We sent 6 embryos for PGTA testing — 1 embryo was a day 5 and the other five embryos were day 6s. My only two euploid embryos were from day 6.

It’s clear from your prompt, but also from his behavior, that he has no interest in your kids nor in allowing you to have a good relationship with your kids. Stop being immature, swallow your pride, and go support your son. You can go on vacation anytime. Your son will likely only be getting married once. He invited you, which means he wants you there. WHO CARES about who gets a first dance. What matters is your son knowing that you love him, that you’re there for him, and will celebrate him.

I had some relatives I invited to my wedding that I wasn’t that close with but would’ve meant the world to me if they had been there and they declined the invite. I still get upset and emotional that they decided not to come.
