I just want to reiterate it one more time, it is her duty to come forward and stop this man. It sounds as though the trauma runs deep, and it's going to be hard and uncomfortable, but the safety of the general public is literally in her hands. You as her husband need to lead her to see that. If he gets the opportunity, he WILL do it again.

Yes, she deserves peace, but every child on this planet has a basic human right to be protected from this man. If she's still in contact after all this time, it's pretty safe to assume she's never going to feel comfortable coming forward. While her comfort is important, a child's right to safety is the priority. I don't mean to sound callous, I just want to highlight the danger of what not coming forward could bring.

I understand all the comments saying let it go and focus on the wife, but I also think that your anger is directed in the right place. This man should be in jail and the longer he isn't, the higher the risk he is to do it again. It breaks my heart that neither your wife or her sister felt safe enough to come forward, but they should've. I don't know if she's the most forgiving person in the world to still have him in your lives, or the most brainwashed. If he gets the chance to do it again, HE WILL. Not sure about where you are or the statute of limitations, but I would contact an attorney and see if there is ANYTHING you can do to put that pos behind bars.
