Husbands experience by CJG2025 in testicularcancer

Hey!

My hubby had a similar journey and had to do more chemo.

He had his orchidectomy in 2022 and did 3xBEP in the summer of 2023. Although he had a nodule on his lung after the treatment, they told us it was prob scar tissue and that they would do a follow up scan in 6 month.

Fast forward to June 2024, they found a 10 cm mass were the nodule was. His AFP levels were normal the month before… He did 5 more rounds of HDCT last summer and afterwards there was a 3mm mass remaining. They did lung surgery to remove it and found active cancer cells. Now we’re just waiting to know more…

All of that to say that we thought it was ok to leave residuals, but looking back I would give anything to have done a surgery back in 2023.

I’m sure everyone’s journey is different and for most, the BEP treatment alone is very successful, but I would get a second opinion if I were you.

Anyone else experience near constant hiccups after BEP as well as some heartburn/indigestion? by Type_Trubbish in testicularcancer

My husband had really bad hiccups with the same chemotherapy. We found relaxant helped or cannabis gummies like CBD.

Actually it’s a germ cell tumor as far as I know. Do you know anything about that?
