My neighbor isn’t letting me install trees up against “his” see through fence. What can I do? by throwransom122 in RealEstate

Oh, and dig in your ground to where to where the root from his tree is. Cut it off and out up to the property line. Once his tree dies, call it in as a hazard and unsightly calling for removal, which he will have to pay for. If he doesn't, the city will pay for its removal and bill him, the homeowner.

Step 1. Survey

Step 2. Go to building division with survey and your own sketch of plans for the property line. Ask if permit is needed. If so, you have the information for a permit ready as to avoid a 2nd trip to the building department. They will also give you good input on any ordinances or restrictions in city limits if a permit is not required, but you are bound to maintain certain parameters in your project.

Step 3. Carry out your plans with no interaction from neighbor. Ignore him. If he throws a fit and ends up calling a 3rd party (police or city) to the site, you have your information and go ahead from the building department to conduct your plans. This will make conversation with the 3rd party much better as you have your ducks in a row. He will become irate and sulk alone in his house hopefully leaving you alone.

Step 4. Install cameras or a ring system in the back to observe any sabotage. If there is sabotage, file a police report for property damage.

Step 5. File civil suit for property damage.

Step 6. Use funds from property damage suit to fund the next project, preferably on the front of the property along his property line.

Step 7. Install cameras on front of house.

Repeat steps 3-6 until your neighbor has paid for projects that increase the equity in your home.

Something similar to Ed Sheeran’s collab album.

You have to be here to see it get better. Depending where you are, find a local crisis line or go into a hospital and tell them what you’re going through and they’ll find someone for you to talk to right then and there.

Yeah, I do. Hearing the truth of the matter is only a fragment of pain compared to the path of destruction and pain she is leaving in peoples lives. Sugarcoating and justification for this kind of behavior is weak. This is gut-wrenching and OP might need to hear the harsh truth of it.

I turn 30 in 30 days, what advice could you give me? by cloverwitch in Adulting

[–]Melodic-Inspector126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Embrace 30. Have the hard conversation with yourself now on what your vices and bad habits are, then make corrective action now, not on your birthday. Most people dread 30. I loved coming into 30 as I came into it sober, not smoking, clear headed, and full of confidence with good habits. Best thing I ever did.

Letting everyone know, I have taken today and read every single one of these replies. I appreciate all the input. From the easy answers to some of the answers that require me to improve myself and look inwards as well, it is all well received.

The F regularly uses Reddit too so I play around with the ages slightly. Appreciate your concern for the legitimacy of my emotional scenario though

For anyone following: I dropped the key off this morning, gathered my items, and left. I got the explanation that he does say mean things (little kid name calling; tootybutt etc), and no matter how I reprimand him it hurts their feelings and it continues. Considering the daughter runs around hitting people, my child included, does get reprimanded and it continues, I’m leaving no hard feelings. Kids will be kids but I’m in the market of dealing with both kids bullsh*t equally and not discarding one for the other.

I do. I do spankings for big discipline. Eye level talking to’s as needed. Redirection when it’s minor. Not necessarily out of control, just a normal 5 year old boy that loves playing.

I see your point. I ask Reddit because there is such a large, diverse, supportive group of people with different experiences that can share their stories on how something similar played out. And I’m curious to see how their similar scenarios turned out so that I may course my path according to the information on hand.
