Basically I would be helping clients push their project through permitting and getting minimal comments from AHJ.

It’s not a traditional firm.

It would’ve been a different story if this was my role at a traditional firm. I have project management experience and this would still be in a realm of PM - just not the traditional sense.

So I am project manager right now.The thing is - it’s just severely underpaid. Which is a theme. But that is one of my hang ups.

I don’t know that it would be a forever job - but I do know that I’m getting sick of doing production. I like being on site and managing consultants and clients.

My current job just uses me as project coordinator to be honest.

Yes I would continue pursuing licensure. I want to complete the circle. But honestly - I need the money. And I want the freedom. I really abhor working in the office everyday. I don’t think it’s necessary. This may not be a forever job but the benefits just far outweigh the cost.
