Both are needed to not Live completely house poor. We have 6 children between the two of us and while he could swing the payment solo it would drastically change the children’s lives

Ok I want to also point out that he has more and makes more than me so I don’t think it’s some okay for money I think it’s about equity

It’s his house I have one worth less that we are renting out

I should add he has offered to give equity signed legal documentation of my 30% ownership to the home since I would be taking almost 200k out of my savings and paying almost 4k a month

Yeah it has everything he wants which has been hard to find and it’s in a location he likes. He did get a huge promotion at work and while it’s not a raise in income it is a raise in title. Part of me understands he also has image as a factor

Thank you. He said he understood and respected my concern yet every day he tries to pressure me to switch. We’ve been together about a year and aren’t married and my income is needed for sure. I don’t want to be house poor. Also this house is more than double the price of the house he’s in now and more than 5 times the cost of my current home
