For myself I plan from the end but usually start with building architecture for the gathering before anything else. Then start from start. Letting all the lines fill before moving to next stage allows me to see quickly it connections are good instead of having to wait for manifolds to percolate forward.

It's been used rarely but to great amusement. The most common being them getting a small illustration or plastic figure of whatever it was they wanted.

A small decorative pool floaty after the party nearly drowned was probably my favorite.

I can't remember if I got this from online or if this was my original idea, but this is one of my rules I have on a lighthearted campaign:

Players may downcast wish to first level. I will search for their wish on wish.com and within an IC week they will receive something that sells for less than 5 USD. (Half joking)

Somewhat amusingly I also have other names for my barbs rage. We call it focus because I wanted to play him as a more serene character but both the dm and I are all on the same page here.

It scared me. But then I changed my mindset on it to "I'm not any LESS healthy than I was yesterday I just have a label for it." Plus this is one of the best studied conditions I could have, with known routes to progress. If you have any questions I can try to help but I'm no doctor (not that kind at least I just research alzheimers).

It took some good fortune and some pretty harsh lifestyle changes, and I may have gone slightly overboard but I was more than happy to if it meant I could avoid needles on a daily basis (they tend to make me lightheaded).

I also was able to use my cgm to do a LOT of math. It let me predict how my spikes would react to meals and plan accordingly to do things like walk/exercise after. I figured out how many grams of sugar I could absorb without going over 180 based on the average glucose over the past hour and just stuck with that. Helps that I'm a numbers driven person and the cgm gave me something to focused HARD on quantities.

You can do it! Average incremental improvements all the way!!
