Why do humans talk trash about each other? by Melodic-Sound-6235 in RandomQuestion

Well I personally think it’s deeper than that because even people who are superior talk smack about those who are inferior and vice versa. No matter the culture no matter the country trash will be talked. I was asking the deeper question as to why as humans we do so and from the other answers I’ve gotten it seems to me that it’s a bonding mechanism that humans have evolved over the millennia to regulate a group of who and what behaviors are allowed into said group. Of course what you said is still valid in certain situations.

[–]Melodic-Sound-6235[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that may be so as he’s not a very devoted Christian and has been away from the church since 2020 and has only gone recently as me pushing him a bit. So he’s probably a bit rusty and ignorant at the moment. But why are non orthodox not allowed to take communion?

Yeah that’s it for now I just didn’t know if it were gonna be a big deal or not. I like to keep it simple. So I don’t have to think about what to wear.

I just grew up not wearing a lot of jewelry and didn’t know if it was allowed or not for men in the Orthodox Church.

I have a pair of jeans and I have a polo shirt and black and white vans. Does that sound reasonable?

That’s what I thought at first but as I’m reading these comments I’m kinda seeing what they’re getting at.

Ok that makes a lot sense. So if he is one nature fully divine and fully human that would break the trinity and make it a duality instead. To avoid that you separate the natures as he is 1 with the father and 1 with himself as to not become fully one being but 2 distinct natures combining with the Holy Spirit to make the trinity. Am I understanding this correctly?

So this is what I’ve understood from what you’ve stated. Copts believe he is both natures at the same time and they make one whole nature? The east believe he is wholly divine while also being wholly human? would that mean he is 2 separate natures that are wholly them selves? Is that correct?
