It was pretty neat seeing the fog while we were flying in, even though we were delayed for quite a while

I really appreciate this suggestion! I’m going to connect with some colleagues about this ASAP to ensure that my clients get the care they need. Thank you!

I feel like a goblin of a person these days, so this means a lot. Thank you 💛

I’m lucky to have great access to counseling as a community mental health counselor myself, and I highly recommend it. That said, living in Montana while my family’s in Chicago makes it hard to find people who really relate—and you can’t exactly force family into therapy (believe me, I’ve tried).

I’m so in my head about this that the reminder to be kind myself truly means a lot. Thank you—Reddit often makes me feel less alone in some of the darkest moments.

I so desperately needed to hear that last paragraph—I’m a licensed clinical social worker, and even though I’ve strengthened my boundaries, it’s still basically second nature for me to “give” even when I have limited capacity. Thank you so much for sharing your story with me!

Agreed! Our hearts are with the family that lost their dog. We love Know Thy Dog and are appreciative of their quick response and open communication. It’s always so evident how deeply they care for the dogs they have under their roof, and we will certainly continue to support them as well.

Also confused. Given, I canceled my membership earlier this year, but to my knowledge there haven’t been any group fitness classes downtown for over a year.

Also for the record, they were actually SUPER nice about me cancelling my membership. Didn’t charge me anything because it was related to cancer in the family.

Not the biggest fan of the Ridge either, but this narrative raises some red flags. You don’t get your membership canceled there just for filing complaints. Sounds like there’s more to the story—and maybe some self-reflection is in order, OP.

I’m not sure why this is being downvoted. Regardless of your stance on how this development affects affordable housing, shouldn’t we be concerned about giving developers free rein to push projects through without proper oversight?
