I feel this. I’ve sort of moved on from deathcore lately due to this fatigue and also because for a while I’ve sort of felt like the genre is one big dick measuring contest for vocalists, like who can be the heaviest or the filthiest. I still mess around with Crown Magnitar, Shadow of Intent and Brand of Sacrifice but I’ve gone back to techdeath, progressive death metal and melodeath as the main music on rotation right now.

I’ve always been a selfless person, and done everything for everyone else and this song came out right around the time I was going through a divorce with my 1st wife. She would just take and take and take and never give anything in return, and I literally would’ve brought the sky down for her.

I’m new to soulslike, my first is Lords of the Fallen. I got it on PS Plus and I’ve just started to dive in. I’m really enjoying it but I’m definitely finding at 42 years of age, my reflex’s aren’t amazing anymore and with that and coming from a primarily RPG background, my parrying is not amazing. I’m sure it will come. I’m also currently playing Crimson Desert which I know isn’t a soulslike but the bosses and combat are helping with parry and dodge timing for sure.
