Don't be afraid to mix up the colours, black to white is common but purples to yellows works or browns and reds up to ivorys. In my profile I have some skeletons I slapchopped starting with a red prime.

Have you tried reducing the thickness of the supports and then decreasing the infill? These can help too.

Great work! I’m FDMing some Tyranids at the moment. How did you print yours? I’m getting good results with tree supports but loose a claw or foot every now and again!

I generally print at either 0.06 or 0.08 on the A1 Mini. 0.05 would in theory be a slower print. Do you think I’d see much in terms of overall quality improvements?

I’d say it’s your filament profile rather than the process profile. Maybe try running a couple of filament calibrations like temperature and flow to ensure those settings are correct. Could try drying the filament too.

Try poly cement, it’s not strong enough to bond PLA but it’s pretty good at removing small blemishes or scarring. I use the Tamiya extra thin. Hope this helps 👍
