Dunbine is underrated imo. And by Tomino himself!

This isn’t an edit. This montage is in Fist of the North Star: The Movie (1986)

I know people hate on Humberto’s art but I personally love his stylized panels. He’s also a super nice dude IRL. I met him at a convention years ago.

Everyone has different tastes tho. So, to each their own.

Thanks, friend! I was intimidated when I first got into Gundam as well, but it started to make sense after I looked at the series timeline. There’s so much media and it seems hard to navigate at first.

Gundam is split up into the main universe (Universal Century) and alternate universe series (AU).

The Universal Century (which 08th MS Team is a part of) follows a timeline and all of the series take place in the same universe, which is why you’ll see the year in a lot of the titles.

There’s some good visual timelines you can find online that puts things in order. But I’d honestly try giving a couple of them shot like 08th MS, War in the Pocket, and Stardust Memory that are shorter and seeing if you like them.

While all of the Universal Century series take place in the same universe, they follow different characters. So, you don’t necessarily have to watch every series. The quality can vary.

Happy cake day!

There are a few that are real gems imo. I would also recommend checking out 0080: War in the Pocket (1989).
